Bosh Named Eastern Conference Player Of The Week
The NBA announced Monday that Toronto Raptors forward Chris Bosh was named NBA Eastern Conference Player of the Week for games played Tuesday, October 28 through Sunday, November 2. This is the fifth time Bosh has won the honour, having previously earned the award for the weeks of January 7-13, 2008, March 26 - April 1, 2007, January 30 - February 5, 2006 and January 3-9, 2005.
Bosh led the Raptors to a franchise record-tying 3-0 mark to open the season, averaging 26.0 points, 10.0 rebounds and 3.7 assists. He registered two double-doubles and led the team in rebounding three times and scoring twice. Bosh totaled a game-high 27 points and added 11 rebounds in a 95-84 win to open the season October 29 at Philadelphia.
Bosh recorded his first 30-point performance of the season in scoring 31 points October 31 vs. Golden State. He made 12-of-24 field goal attempts and finished with a team-high nine rebounds versus the Warriors. He closed out the week with 20 points, 10 rebounds and six assists in Toronto’s 91-87 win November 1 at Milwaukee. For the week, Bosh shot .800 from the line, averaging 8.0 free throws made and 10.0 attempts.
A product of Georgia Tech in his sixth season, Bosh leads the team in scoring (26.0), rebounding (10.0) and minutes (41.7). Bosh is four offensive rebounds from passing Antonio Davis to become the franchise’s all-time leader with 958.
The New Orleans Hornets’ Chris Paul was named Western Conference Player of the Week after averaging 21.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, 12.0 assists and 2.3 steals on the week.

hopefully he can keep it up. I have a feeling CB is going to elevate his game this year and become one of the NBA's elite players.

dude he's been elite in this league, hell he might contend for the MVP this year. With JO playing D like this Bosh gets to focus everything on his offense and thats scary

When I said elite, I was meaning top 5, top 10 player in the league. At this point in Bosh' career, I dont think hes quite been at the same level as a KG or Tim Duncan etc....But I think this is the year for Chris making the next step!
-
he's beastly
-
Deserved.

this is cb4's year. hornets vs raptors anyone? would be a dope final :P, would be dope if they stunt against teams like the lakers, celtics, caveliers etc in the playoffs
-
PLANT, what you talkin about? Bosh is an elite player and he's probably better than KG and Duncan at this point of his career.

right now hes prolly better....But for the last 5 years or so the first and second all NBA teams always have been guys like Duncan, KG, Amare consistantly. Bosh has never been a top 10 in points or rebounds.
All Im saying is I think he is going to take his game to the next level this year. There was never any doubt in my mind he would get there, and had what it takes. The fans will prolly vote KG as the starter this year in the all star game too. I think he deserves more respect, and I think he will gain recognition this year! (I hope)
Obviously Bosh is an "elite" player. Maybe I should have put it like this; "Going from a star player, to a superstar player"

in your eyes maybe, and mine too. But to most, hes never been the type of player on the "superstar" level of Kobe, LeBron, Wade, KG those BIG NAME type players, you get what Im saying? I think (and hope) that hes going to have that breakout season to put him on that level. i dont think you understood what I was trying to say there.

I completely understood what you were saying, I just disagreed. LOL. I simply think Bosh has BEEN a superstar talent and one of the top bigs in the league for a couple years now...PeACe

Cb4 is that dude, good player, good guy all around
-
30 points and 15 boards in a Raps win today...he should win this 2 weeks straight now!
-
good individual stats this week; Raps went 1-2 though so I doubt he'll get it.
LeBron will probably get it; 4 straight wins and strong stat lines in all 4.
-
..and he killed it this afternoon!
-
Glad I got him on my fantasy team. 8)
