That's indeed a very intense scene. Even though there isn't really any form of dialogue in this scene, it's still so strong. Just knowing what Randy went through...as a viewer you automatically sympathize with him.
I like the way it's filmed too. It's all so intense.

I honestly can't say anything negative about The Wire. Pure class...simple as that.

Yeah, classic scene from a classic show.

I was a bit worried when I heard some young teenagers would play the main parts in season 4, but they did great.
The kid who plays Randy and the guy who played Michael did a fantastic job.

Can't watch it at work, but the scene as Carver leaves the hospital and Randy is yelling "You gonna help me now?" makes me feel a bit emotional just thinking about it. Damn The Wire is fucking amazing.

yea that was  a moving scene. also the one with him..... flipping out in the car after he dropped randy off at the foster house. you can tell he really wanted to help [ but as always the system love to see broken up Black homes, and young Blacks with no direction].

This scene was unreal. It was as powerful, emotional and heartbreaking as any scene I have ever seen no doubt.  Also the scene when Carver took Randy to the foster home and then got in his car and pounded the steering wheel with incredible emotion was extremely powerful and heartbreaking also.  Michaels goodbye to Bug and Dukie was also extremely emotional for me to watch.  What a fuckin show.  Shame on me for getting into the Wire so late

If it was McNulty he would have faked the kids death, taken him in himself, and trained him to be a super hero that kills Marlo's whole crew. And that would have been a more realistic season 5 than what we got instead.

IMO the most powerful scene in the entire series and maybe in the history of television.
