The Celtics play the second of a back-to-back matchup against the New Orleans Hornets and the Lakers have a 4 game road trip. Those obsticles aside, they can face each other 27-2 vs. 26-2 on Christmas. That would be insane.
Celtics schedule:
December 11 @ Washington
December 12 New Orleans
December 15 Utah
December 17 @ Atlanta
December 19 Chicago
December 21 New York
December 23 Philadelphia
Lakers schedule:
December 9 @ Sacramento
December 10 Phoenix
December 12 Sacramento
December 14 Minnesota
December 16 New York
December 19 @ Miami
December 20 @ Orlando
December 22 @ Memphis
December 23 @ New Orleans

Pacers overachieve against top-tier teams...doesn't mean they're gunna lose to more sub-.500 teams.

Make a prediction. I think they'll both lose one more game before playing each other.

yea i think they will be 27-2 and 26-2 its possible

It's in Atlanta and I have a feeling Boston's gunna lose there.

The Lakers probably lose to NO. Road trip, back-to-back games, a horrible team followed by a good team. Boston could lose to Atlanta, but I doubt it. With so few losses, the 2 direct match-ups in the regular season could actually mean something in regards to who wins the title. That's refreshing.

na, Bostons streak is ending at 15. there just due for an off day & a loss. ;D
Lakers have the better chance of the two to go undefeated from now 'til Christmas, imo.

This year is gonna be interesting, yeah. Lakers betta win more games than the Celtics. I don't want to play 3-4 games in Boston.

Oh you will have to play 3 games in Boston my dear. The Lakers are not going to sweep them.

Keep Dreaming LA

lakers might slip against NOH and boston aswell but also needs to face ATL. those are the 3 matches that any of em really got a chance of losing
-
I don't really see LA losing..but we all know upsets can happen, but I can actually see Boston losing to ATL just because of how ATL handled them at home last year..should be interesting to see.

Damn..looks like i'm gonna be forced to eat my words

We should pull off a trade to get a better defensive player at the PG position ... that high screen and roll defense is TERRIBLE( well the PG is not the only responsible for that but he's a huge part) ... Drew needs to re-become that defensive anchor again , Kobe needs to stop gambling and the whole team needs to stop helping-doubled team for no reason after a screen ... it results in WIDE open threes for the opponent ... if we keep playing that kind of D (well , we do not play any) we won't beat whoever will come out of the East ... and it's not overraction based on this loss ... it's based on what I saw from the latest 10-12 games
-
o well that was sooner then expected lol
-
Kobe gambled way too many times..............Lakers d is looking suspect. THe Celtics and Cavs are both looking better at the moment, but the LAkers have more talent so we will see.
season is young

lol this thread is officially funny

I jinxed it. :(

Celtics and Cavs definitely play more mature basketball. Lakers are more talented, though. In the Finals, I'd go with serious adult basketball over raw talent any day of the week. But like you said, it's still early.

pull off a trade? LMAO...our roster DOES NOT need adjustments.

I do agree with NIK. The last thing we need is to start changing players unless it's for an impact type of player. We started the season defending very well. We can do it again. It's all about ourself. Getting another PG in our rotation won't "save" us. It's the team who gotta step up and who gotta be more concentrated.
We can always make a trade in 2 months, if necessary. Or we can acquire a veteran just before the playoffs if necessary. But not now.

I think we have the perfect triangle point, I dunno what anyone would complain about? ???

Fisher? He knows the system as well as any player, but he's getting older and slower.

we dont need a traditional point guard...we need a point who runs the offense and hits the open shot ala ron harper and brian shaw, and that's exactly what fisher does. farmar is also being built in that mold, and he's been impressive most the time.
-
I'm talking about D... I do not talk about a major trade but a mid season trade ala Ariza .... I agree it's still early in the season but if we play the same type of D coming playoffs time we are not going to beat Boston , I hate to say that but I'm just realistic ... the whole team needs to step it up and coming in each game with a mentality to shut teams down on the D end and to send a message ... as the great Rick Fox during the half time report yersterday , if a guard is going to the hoop ; just beat the shit out him ... he won't show up a second time
-
^Sorry, but we have amazing D when we turn it on...you don't expect a Phil Jackson team to be going at it full force 100% of the time in the month of December, do you? LOL. We ain't the Mavs...
-
I have 100 on the Lakers for this game. 8)

Of course , It's still early in the season and I know that the best thing is to be ready to play at 100% around March ... but playing solid D should be a constant ( I'm not asking lock down D ) ... to be honest , I feel that we do not even try right now , that's why I'm not THAT concerned ... if we go 4-0 on that upcoming trip and then beat the C's at home , I will eat my words

lakers dont play D, thats funny.
coach phil knows the c's are better lol
