Mobb Deep member Havoc is gearing up to release The Hidden Files, his latest solo album and debut release for Koch Records.
According to representatives for Koch, the new album will be produced by Havoc himself and longtime collaborator The Alchemist.
While details about the album remain under wraps, fans of Mobb Deep will be treated to at least one guest appearance from imprisoned Mobb Deep member Prodigy, who is serving a 3 ½ year jail sentence in upstate New York, over gun possession charges.
Havoc, a native of Queensbridge, is noted for his lyrical ability as well as his production skills, having produced the majority of Mobb Deep’s last seven albums, as well as tracks for Nas, Jadakiss, Lil Kim, The Game, LL Cool J, 50 Cent, Foxy Brown and others.
The Hidden Files is the follow up to Havoc’s solo debut The Kush, which was released in September of 2007 on Nature Sounds Records.
The Hidden Files is due in stores in 2009.

Since there is not gonna be a group album for a while now, I guess this will have to do. The beats on his last album were bangin, lyrically not so great.
