Classic to me. Wasn't this originally going to be a Death Row release? Props to Daz for making sure this album got to see the light. Love the inside of the Cd booklet:: "Why get an artist deal? When you can go independent." "Fuck all yall major labels and some indepedent labels" Some fuck ups: 10. Dat Whoopty Woop feat. Snoop Dog (Cd liner) and the back of the CD reading "All SONGE mixed and produced...." DPG records needed a proofreader, lol.

On "Like It Or Not" (aside from Val Young) who's the other vocalist (we can fuck around a little....). Always wondered if this was actually Soopafly ???
-
I think that is L T Hutton.I think its a great album.it is deathrow material but I'm not sure if its the actual album he would have had on deathrow or just a collection of songs he recorded that daz took from deathrow when he left

^^ lol yea, naw its a dope album. glory days of westcoast rap music.
-
An OK album, although other than Like It Or Not, I can't name even one song that can make you say WOW!
-
Great album, classic Dogg Pound. "Bangin West Coast" was garbage compared to this one.
-
Yes, Bangin Westcoast wasn't as good as Dat Woopty Woop. It was still a hell of an album though. The title track, Number One, and Crazy were all dope. Bacc It Up On Me from the digital release of that album was the best song on the whole thing, too bad it didn't make the hard copy release.

"Ready" is the dopest song on the album.

Huh, that's funny. That is one of the few songs I wasn't feeling on that album. Didn't seem to have much energy in it.

Yea, it was supposed to drop on Death Row in 99 but Priority refused to distribute the album and it was put in the vault... That's when Soopafly left Tha Row, Daz stoled that shit from the archives and put it on DPG Recordz in 2001... The DPG and Death Row versions are the same.

aha. so u really think baby boy was on the original like it or not LP?

^^^I'm just telling you what I know - you can believe it or not.
I got that info from 101 - when his site had a forum last year someone made a topic about this album and he said what I've just posted.
-
"Pimp Strut" was probably supposed to be on that instead of Baby Boy. But Daz ended up using that song on his Westside Rydaz compilation, so he just replaced it.
-
good album. I just put it back on the computer to listen to it.
