I know how much NIK respects Magic (i think he even said he was better than MJ23 once), so I thought I would post this:::
"You don’t need one of the greatest basketball players to tell you the following: Right now, the Boston Celtics are a better, hungrier team than the Los Angeles Lakers. All one has to do is watch the games and take a quick scan of the standings.
But if you need to hear it from a great former player, here it is. Courtest of the LA Times:
“Those guys have got to come out and really prove something to themselves and show the league that they are really ready to challenge the Celtics. Right now, the Celtics believe that the Lakers can’t beat them. It’s all about the Lakers on Christmas Day.”

In fact, as of now the Lakers arent even on The Cavs level right now with their shit defense. You know when Kobe has to start going for 40 and tehy are losing, that things aren't going that well. Oh well, we all know that NIK, even if the lakers don't win it all, will take satisfaction in the idea that IF the Lakers played to their potential they COULD be the best.
Kobe will get 45 on Christmas, but Celtics by 15

I wasn't talking about Magic I was talking about the person that I quoted, The C's are obviously playing great ball but a lot can change in a given number of months.

bottom line is we can't get too high or too low so early in the season
Celtics are killing shit now and are defending champs
The Lakers are trying to get to where the Celts are at and we have time to accomplish that

Magic is just that type ala Chick Hearn...he gets down on the Lakers REAL HARD when they aren't performing at their capabilities. dudes tough like that, but it's respectable. I share the same views as him, it's just that I don't come as hard against the Lakers cuz I'm a FAN, not a part of the management. For the record, I do believe the Lakers are currently not on the Celtics level. Not because of how bad we are, but because of how bad we are playing...I also believe that will all change tomorrow. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong, but the Lakers are far from peaking this season...Still no 3 consecutive losses since the Gasol trade. 8)
