What iz the best Kurupt album in your opinion? Me, I would say Kuruption! is his best album
there were some fillers but overall its a pretty good album
Highlights of the album in my opinion are: Play My Cards, We Can Freak It, Ho's a Housewife, and The Life
-
Tha Streetz. Better production, more focused, one of the best if not the best dpg member solo album of all time.
-
Streetz iz a mutha easily.great production, kurupt spit some of his most venomist lyrics in his career.plus great cameos from everyone from daz to crooked I.Not a weak song on the album.its my favorite solo record from a dpg member other then doggystyle.kuruption felt unfocused too many fillers.
-
Streez or Space Boogie, they both have their individual high points. I got to be honest though, it's a hard choice, I like all Kurupt's albums.
-
Well this is a tough decision, and if you include "The Frank & Jess Story" as a solo effort, my list is as follows:
Tha Streetz Iz a Mutha
Kuruption!
Space Boogie: Smoke Oddessey
Against tha Grain
Frank & Jess
SDDS
Tha Streetz is a CLASSIC album. Kurupt and all his guests come correct, as well as the producers. Vintage dogg pound sound with vintage Kurupt lyrics.
Kuruption is a near classic, but suffers from a few filler tracks and many whack-ass guests, but songs such as "It's a Set-Up" and "We Can Freak It" do more than redeem for its shortcomings
Space Boogie has some of Kurupt's whackest tracks and lyrics, but on the other hand produces some of his most unique work. While "It's Over" sounds like a Sesame Street song, "Can't Go Wrong" and "Kuruption" prove Young Gotti's versatility and innovativeness in song creation.
Against tha Grain is a slept on album. The beats are insane, and Kurupts raspy voice combined with the venom pumping through his veins at the time produce some hard-hitting tracks. His lyrics on the album are below his high standards, keeping it from achieving the quality of his first three releases.
Frank & Jess has the opposite problem of ATG. His lyrics reflect a maturity and skill his most recent work had lacked, but the J Silva beats aren't on par.
SDDS is just average, with its few standout tracks muddled by phoned-in performances. Daz comes hard behind the boards for the most part, but lyrically this is Kurupt's worst.
-
Definitely Tha Streetz, the production was more focused as D~Nice said . And there weren't too many filler tracks.
But Kuruption has its share of hard hittin tracks.

I actually think lyrically Kuruption had some crazy lines and quotables and as a whole has more of that wow factor you would get from Kurupt lyrically, but Tha Streetz is just simply a better piece of work to me. Now if Kurupt could have got a Pete Rock or a Dj Premier on Kuruption I think the product would have been different. I really don't have many gripes beatwise on the west disc.

Gotta go with Streetz Iz A Mutha but I think Against Tha Grain was very underrated and slept on - I liked that raw Kurupt shit...
-
My favorite is without a doubt "Tha Streetz Iz A Mutha" classic from the beginning to the end
"Space Boogie: Smoke Odessey" is a great record as well with a huge Fredwreck participation
"Kuruption" is a good record, several bangers on it
then I really love the "Digital Smoke" with J. Wells even if Kurupt aint on every songs
The DPG version of "Against The Grain" was pretty coo too with "Load Up" Kurupt version and all
"Against The Grain" by Tha Row had a couple bangers, I think its a ok release
"Against The Grain EP" was coo
"Same Day, Different Shit" is a disapointement, I was expectin better when it drops, a couple good songs tho
I though "Frank & Jess" was coo at the beginning but now I think its average
I dont have that much memories about "Originals" except for a couple joints with Suga Free but it wasnt so bad
and I dont remember about "Tsunami" mixtape
-
I've always favored Space Boogie :)

tha streetz is kurupt's best album hands down. no other solo album he's released is more cohesive and well put together.

Tha Streetz iz a Mutha - my favorite album of all time and the best Kurupt album 8)
Kuruption had better lyrics more of Kurupt recording tracks closer to his peak years '97-'98 but was a unfocused seemed like kind of a rushed project and would be inconsistent from track to track but he killed tracks like Fresh, Game. It's A Set Up, Light Shit Up
matter fact the whole east disc was pretty much Kurupt at his best minus a couple of fillers, he and El Drex made a good combo

Believe it or not I still have Originals in rotation from time to time, there's a lot of smooth joints on it.

I'm going with Kuruption, because you had a Kurupt solo track with Warren G production, you had a Dre track, a track with Buckshot, C-Walk and a host of other classics. Streetz is a close second for me though.
-
kuruption and streets are classics
but for some reason space boogie feels more fresh to me
-
looks like streetz iz a mutha takes tha cake. I thought that album was dope too. i didnt like ATG too much i only liked 2 songs on that joint.
Space boogie was pretty dope. It had its picks.
-
I want to know who picked same day different shit....that album was horrible.I still cant believe i wasted money on it
-
I been playing Kurupt albums all day.. It's the Young Gotti marathon in this bitch!
His Best Album IMO is "Streetz Is a Mutha" or "Kuruption".. but then, I love "Space Boogie"..
I play em all for different songs.. Get a Greatest Hits album if u can't decide!
-
Streetz iz a Mutha. By far. Best production, best features, best beats. This was Kurupt at his finest right here.
-
Like everone said - Streetz Is a Mutha is his best album, he'll never ever come close to that form again.
Kuruption was also great, especially in terms of lyrics and delivery. It just suffered from a few (maybe about 5 0r 6 out of 23 songs) filler tracks, but other than that if it was a 1CD album it would've been a classic. He should've picked about 7 or 8 songs of each CD and put them into one album.
Space Boogie had some great beats, Kurupt tried some new things. Lyrically it sucked mostly.
His other stuff isn't really worth mentioning, sorry.
-
it hasnt been released yet; its going to be that new Kurupt/Quik album! 8)

Who the hell picked same day different shit? Are you guys deaf? have you ever heard another kurupt album? SDDS was fucking horrible, I couldn't even make it through one listen of the whole album

i havent listened to SDDS to be honest with you.. i thought ATG was horrible. my top 3 kurupt albums would have to be
1. kuruption
2. tha streetz
3. space boogie
-
space boogie IMO
previous were dope too but he was on some space shit in that time
