Happy New Year & Dubcnn 2009 Update! - By : Rud - January 1, 2009

Today is New Years Day around the world and we just want to wish all our visitors the very best for the coming year! It has been a challenging year for Dubcnn with some changes and some issues however we are delighted with the patience and concern shown from all our visitors as we adapt to some of these situations.

Albeit later than hoped - as a January, 1 2009 launch was planned - Dubcnn will be undergoing a mass-overhaul during the first half of 2009 with which you can expect to see Dubcnn better serving your online needs.

More content, ease of navigation, visbility of all the content we offer - as we accept we release so much it is easy to miss the hundreds of interviews and news we provide. We will also improve our ability to let you know when there is something new on Dubcnn with the introduction of RSS Feeds over the coming weeks.

All of the new features will be complemented by a new design and more fluid integration with our Forum and Community pages to ensure you get the very best while you spend time on Dubcnn.

I want to finally take this moment to thank each and every member of the Dubcnn team for all their hard work and effort in 2008, those include Nima, Lil Jay, Yash, Adon, Jome, Justin, Overseer, Chad, Jonathan, Javon, Mil, Inspire and all the co-contributers and organisations we work alongside to deliver content to our readers.

I can't wait to see what new features you will be adding to the website, it should be tight. I have to admit though, I love the straight foward feel that DubCNN has always had, don't go TOO complex with the layout. It's nice having all the news accessable. I know ya'll know what your doing though, props!  8)

I agree, I've always liked how smooth the main page is and how simple it is.  Don't like websites that are too cluttered or whatever.  And the feature you added what last year?  the search the news part.. that shit get's used all the time by me.  But I'm very interested to see what other new features you all have added.  Still the best Westcoast website IMO.

Thanks for the responses guys, we take your feedback on board.

We have always tried to keep things as simple as possible and perhaps we will, in the longer term, be able to accomodate your own profiles so you can view dubcnn in the way you want to.

Any feedback and suggestions you have are welcomed.

Yeah I like the simple lay out of the site.places like sohh.com and allhiphop.com feel cluttered.

What pop up? you mean the splash ad when you go to the dubcnn.com before seeing the news? if so, its there when that space is funded. Dubcnn has bills to pay...

Well if it bugs you that bad you could just click the link that says "Click here to proceed to Dubcnn" in the middle of the screen.

Or you could just bookmark that link, which is the main page of dubcnn.com  http://www.dubcnn.com/index2.shtml

pretty simple if you just think about it.
