One of the under-lining stories to this very young season is the old nba record of consecutive free throws made set by micheal williams. The record is currentley 97 made free throws in a row. Calderon has started off the season 75 for 75 at free throws. I think its a great achievement and wouldnt be a bad record to have. Williams record spanned over two seasons and the record for consecutive made in one season is 84.
Do you think he can do it?

Kobe was close to taking the record but he fucked it up on Jan 22, 2006. And to think, had he just made the 2 free-throws he missed he would've had 83 points ;D
-
I think and hope he does it!

a tiny bright spot in a shitty raptors year

i dont think calderon would really care that much anyways. i mean he gave up his starting job last year just cus he thot the team would do better, not many ppl would do that.

just a quick update on the calderon free throw record attempt. (The only bright spark toronto fans have had, i know!)
he went 3 for 3 at the line last night against sacremento and after he went 4 for 4 from the line against chicago on friday, that moved him to 83 for 83 on the season.
he needs 1 more free throw too tie the record of consectuvie free throws in one season, he needs 14 more too tie the record for consective made spanning over 2 seasons and thus the record for most conecutive free thows made.
Hes next game is against New Jersey on Wednesday.
You can doo it Jose!!!!!!
-
he's gunna miss his next free throw
-
^^ imagine the pressure if he gets to step up for his 97th!
-
hes gona break the record!
-
well that was anti-climatic, the streak ended last night at 87 when calderon went 1-2 from the line.
unlucky!
-
