Always thought it was kinda strange Kurupt, Snoop and Nate was on there but not Daz or Warren G?
any reason for this or was it just Dre's decision?

bcuz bitches like u woulda shitted iin your pants

Daz was beefing with Dre over the whole production credit stuff openly so I never expected Dre to have him on when he did that. Warren I thought he said in a interview that he submitted some stuff or helped co produce. You got to remember Dre had a lot of leftovers that ended up on other projects.
-
Yeah. Dre & Daz had a previous beef.
And at the time, I think Warren was busy workin on I Want It All
bcuz bitches like u woulda shitted iin your pants
:D

Warren G's pictures are in the booklet collage...no clue why Dre couldn't get him on there. I always thought Warren G really produced "Xxplosive".
-

what about eastwest shyt wit sticky, ms roq, knoc sounds like a song from that shoulda made that album!

Yah man, im tired of seeing all these stupid ass threads and im sure alot of other people are too like you. We need like a separate "Classic" west coast section or something for all these dudes living in the past!!!
-
Daz was busy watering his garden of petunias while Warren G got lost in a Kentucky Wal-Mart.. twice.

yep, much rather talk about all these "new west" artists albums...only problem...they have no albums!

Classic west coast section isn't a bad idea.. if only you could get all the newbs to read and understand to post in that section LOL

lmao I've been saying this shit 4 years and someone else made a poll on it but the Mods denounced it... its way overdue on this forum... it would make shit alot easier to understand and get into this West shit (easier a fan)
-
all u suckaz do is talk shit on daz and rbx but when they drop some new shit, yall the first to download....Dont hate, congratulate!
-
There was an article about Dre in some rap magazine when 2001 dropped and there was a question about Daz and Dre said that "Daz wasen't featured on 2001 because he rides against him"
-

I hope you're kidding. You might as well use this (http://www.dubcnn.com/connect/index.php?board=11.0) as the main forum then.
-
if we had a classic section this section would hardly be used cause wed have nothing to talk about. How long can u talk about new west artists that arent signed or Detox delays... Im sure if there was a lot of stuff popping people would stop making threads about Death Row etc...
-
You guys got a point. Overall the west coast just fuckin sucks right now PERIOD!!!
-
Daz was busy watering his garden of petunias while Warren G got lost in a Kentucky Wal-Mart.. twice.
lol
-
Daz was cracked out.... ;D
-
Daz was signed to DR at the time. Simple as that. As for Warren G, like the others said, their schedules conflicted.
-
i think warren wasnt on the album coz dre dont think he dope enough to be on his record.
if i remember correctly, warren just featured on an intro on the 1992 chronic album. why didnt dre give him a verse on the album?
and then chronic 2001, he didnt even get a feature, while dre called up snoop, nate and kurupt to get on the songs from his album.
i dont know about ya'll, but that doesnt seem like brotherly love, to have warren not be on the album, considering that dre and warren are half brothers.
will warren be on detox when it comes out? i highly doubt it.
will the usual suspects: snoop, nate and kurupt be on detox, i'm pretty certain they will.
but thats even if the album actually comes out....

There was an article about Dre in some rap magazine when 2001 dropped and there was a question about Daz and Dre said that "Daz wasen't featured on 2001 because he rides against him"
thats interesting first time i heard that
the only thing i have in some magazine is Dre being asked about claims from former co-producers like Daz & BiG Hutch claiming he steal beats and Dre said something to the effect of "If thats true why aren't they producing hits anymore"
-
this is Dre we're talking about... He doesn't put people on his records just to put them on. Everybody and their mamas contributed to 2001 (and Detox), but if your shit isn't top notch, it's not gonna be on the record.
-
^^
thats what i think aswell.
he didnt think warren's raps/production/music is hot enough. thats why he didnt put him on the record.
-
Warren I thought he said in a interview that he submitted some stuff or helped co produce. You got to remember Dre had a lot of leftovers that ended up on other projects.
he for sure did, but dre didnt think his shyt is hot enough.
As for Warren G, like the others said, their schedules conflicted.
rubbish
And at the time, I think Warren was busy workin on I Want It All
rubbish.
like its so hard to drop a verse for the album. warren isnt that handicapped that he cant even do a feature for another artist's album, just because he's working on his own album....
i dont think warren would ever turn down the opportunity to be on the album, its just that the opportunity wasnt given to him or that dre didnt think he was good enough to be on the album.
he was around in the studio with dre and the rest of them when the album was made, but didnt have time to drop a verse in the booth? my ass!!
-
Theres threads on The Chronic, Doggystyle and some shit bout Death Row no one cares about daily, god damn!!!
Amen
-
daz was at deathrow at the time. dont kno why warren g wasnt on it, thers pics of him in the album booklet
-

CALL A TIME OUT, THROW A VERSE OR BEAT 2 DRE
FUKIT
DPGC23

Daz was on Chronic 2000. Suge's attemp to F up Dre's Chronic 2000 album. Remember, he had to change it to 2001. Suge did it to Snoop too with Dead Man Walkin, and the Dogg Pound with Dogg Pound 2002.
-
I don't buy that busy shit. Dre takes months... years to build an albums (y'all are seing it now with Detox) so how can y'all think that Warren G couldn't make it to Dre's studio for an evening. Plus, if Dre calls you drop everything you're doing.
Like said above, I also think that Dre has always thought that Warren is not hot enough.
Shame on Dre though.

why not?make it and you´ll see that that section will have the most posts.

I really don't think it's about Dre not thinking Warren's shit is hot, or Warren not having time to do it or whatever. Dre goes in to create an album, records hundreds of tracks with dozens of artists, and when it comes down to the 20-some tracks he'll put on the record, he chooses what he feels suits the feel of the album. I'm sure there are classic that were meant for 2001 hidden in Dre's vault, but they didn't fit the profile. I'm pretty sure Remember Me & Buck 'Em were 2001-songs at one point...
This, of course, is all speculation tho... None of us really knows what's going on in Dre's mind ;)
