Title: Just found nate dogg g funk classics original death row pressing at dollar store

Post by: MarshColin on January 04, 2009, 09:28:53 PM: They pressed it up and it was ready for release, but they pulled it last minute. A few countries overseas still released it for whatever reasons.

Post by: Suga Foot on January 04, 2009, 09:40:34 PM: I have a copy still wrapped (I got it in Vancouver). The album was out in Canada for a day or so before most stores got word of it being pulled. The back of the CD will say something like, "Manufactured and distributed in Canada by Universal Music".

I think some crates all of a sudden popped up in an ebay-sellers warehouse, because after years of searching for it, I found it for $7-8 at all the places like ebay, secondspind, musicgemm etc.

The Vol 1 & 2 version is much rarer these days...

G Funk Classics Vol 1 (basically disc 1 from the 2-disc allbum) was released for a very short period by DR in '97... I have no idea why it got shelved/called back.

i paid about the same for the four horsemen project and raskass van gough and they came in a clear case an both just had the artist name/title and 'for promotional use only" printed on them...

nice one rocco. yea the album was released as an EU and canadian version. i still got both versions sealed + the singles in album and slim case sealed.
