Livingston averaged 2.3 points and 1.0 assists in 10.3 minutes in four games with Miami. He signed with the Heat as a free agent on Oct. 3, 2008.

LOL you thought they wanted him as a human being? It was just about the contract. Obvious from the start, if you ask me. He's finished. He can't play anymore. It's a sad fact.
