Ofcourse you like it, you are a Jew. And the movie was made by a Jew (Oliver Stone).
So it was a movie made by Jews, about their fiercest age-old rival, the Muslim Turks. Who by the way, it was the Muslim Turks who held Jerusalem together in peace for 400 years, allowing safe passage to other religions. They were the last roadblock that stood for 400 years in the way of the Jews reclaiming their Holy land. In 1948 when the Jews were given Israel as a homeland, it was described by one European Jewish diplomat as being the final nail in the coffin of the Turkish (Ottoman) Empire.
So, with that being said. To be fair we should have Palestinian Muslims make a similar big budget movie about a POW being placed in a prison controlled by their fiercest rival, the Israeli Jews; and then we might gain some perspective on the situation.
It's an interesting movie, but please don't take it as being historically accurate. But sadly, most of you think you are learning history by watching TV and Movies.

Okay, why don't we make the same movie, only this time let's take a Palestinian Muslim director, give him a big budget, and have him film a movie about a prisoner of war in an Israeli prison around 1960. Then... I wonder if you will still like the movie?

Hey infinite, I'm willing to write that man, and pitch if you're willing to write it with me. Id be more than happy to write a story like that, I'm always looking for the next best thing to work on. Of course, the chances of it being made is -0 in hollywood, as you should know.

Great movie. Eye opener. Scary. Realistic, great writing...All the makings of a film that stays with you for a long. Of course if I was infinite anyone who happens to be muslim could do no wrong I would hate this move, but hey, to each his/her own.

No. You guys still don't get it. I don't hate this movie. And I don't think that "Muslims can do no wrong". I was only pointing out that this movie was a project that was made by Jews and it was depicting one of their fiercest rivals, the Turks.
I wanted to point that out because I doubt that any of you took that into account while watching the film, and I know most American's don't actually read and formulate their opinions according to what they see in TV's and Movies, and I worry that this movie gives people the wrong impression about the Turks.
The Turks weren't perfect, but they definitely weren't as bad as they were portrayed in this movie.
