i haven't heard this yet (HOPEFULLY ONE OF YOU GUYS HOOK ME UP SOON! ;)), but the Mixtape Messiah series kind of fell off.
2>1>3>4>5, imo.
six doesn't sound like it is getting positive comments, but i cant judge on that.
the albums are what matters to me; but if he is going to throw out so many tapes, he should have a little dignity with it & dont put out 4, 5, & 6 as half-assed mixtapes, might as well just take the best off all three, put that out & dump the rest.
he better not burn out for albums by putting so much out in the streets. i want a completely different sound from the mixtapes to Venom.
we'll enjoy this Dubcc, we got MM7 coming before Venom & then finally Venom.

i dont know if he is going to curse, but he is allowed to by the record company.
the thing i dont understand is that he makes these internet nerd songs; where all he does is just talk about some of his flaws.
like, talking bout loving his money, his cars, woodwheel, singing, etc.
but he stays doing it on the mixtape. ???
on the album, or his last two albums, he has kept it straight, not really rapping about those topics & kept it real.
but on the last two & looks to be three mixtapes, he just stays rapping about cars, money, etc. & then dissing himself about it in the internet nerd song lol.
just kind of weird to be honest.

i dont really fucks with 1 since most of the songs he used on it are classics and i'd rather just listen to the originals
i basically agree with what you just said (I think most people would rather he drop one fire mixtape inbetween albums).
And yeah, SOR Cham was so much harder than UV cham. its nice that he has messages in his lyrics now, but he lost his hunger imo. UV was still one of my top 5 albums of 07 (maybe top 3) tho
atleast he hasn't fallen off as hard as other people. just needs to get focussed

What matters is the actual albums. Untill now, both of them are classic, period. If he comes up with a nice mixtape, it's all good, but if her doesn't, who the hell cares? We're waiting for the REAL album to come out.

both of his albums are great imo. no, not classics, but they are really dope and some of the best ones of the year they came out in. thats enough for me... if you're gonna be expecting a classic everytime you will be dissapointed 99% of the time
anyway, this is the worst one yet. most memorable songs: chali boy collab, trae collab, lil keke collab, "thats you"

This is what he was doing before signing his major label deal. It wasn't with the Mixtape Messiah brand name, but he was still dropping mixtape after mixtape before the deal. It's really nothing new.

That's a big difference though.
The Mixtape Messiah Brand had come to mean something to his fans. No tags, no DJs. This isn't like Tippin Down, Man on Fire, all those other mixtapes he did. These felt more like street albums to increase anticipation for the albums to follow. Like Mood Muzik.
It's been watered down now, though. I guess that's the only way he'll get to MM28 or whatever, but it makes them feel less special.
