Damn, i was never really into this beef before but both groups went viciously hard at each other. c hill dissed cube and mack 10 real hard in 'no rest for the wicked', but IMO cube did a better job on 'king of the hill', i think he just about won. anyone know why c hill didnt diss wc?
BTW, much props to these niggas, these are real diss songs, not like these dickheads today who always make diss records but never work (40 glocc, spider loc etc)

WSC

That beef got ugly at the end nobody won
-
WSC, easily.

Have you heard Ice Cube Killa? B-Real went in on that one even better than No Rest.
WC and Muggs are really good friends so I know he really did not want any part of the beef. In the end I think it was just a miscommunication on both sides.

Check this out. Not as clear cut
Cypress Hill- Ice Cube Killa

wc wasnt involved in the beef. mack 10 joined in to show his loyalty to cube - to show hes got cube's back (i believe).
-
^yup.. and I liked both but WSC shitted on 'em

i think this video from beef II sums up everything nicely as to what the outcome was (the ch vs. wsc part starts around 2:50).personally i think it coulda went either way, it really depends on who your a bigger fan of i guess....but their deffinately wasnt any one-sided type of win

+1 for posting that again. Yeah those are 2 of my fav groups right there along with Dogg Pound. Ice Cube is probably my favorite artist of all time along with Pac. I was torn on that beef. I don't think alot of people realize how much Cube and Cypress worked together. Muggs was a co executive producer on The Predator. Some songs on that album were meant for Black Sunday and vice versa but they would lend tracks like that all the time. So I could see B's point a little bit.

This is what I like to remember as what was able to come out of that beef.

dudes perspective seems slightly bias, especially considering that ice cube makes repeated sodomy remarks on 'no vasaline', but whatever....

It's funny that the beef popped off on a song like that. Like I said for example Cock The Hammer on Black Sunday was originally a Ice Cube track. Cube was not feeling the beat and Cypress used it. Cypress did not use Tear This Muthafucka Up and Cube used it. Cube's sound pre Lethal Injection had a HEAVY Cypress feel to it, very dark. He definitely digged the style of beats Muggs had. I really thought Muggs would have fit perfectly on Raw Footage.

ICE CUBE KILLA is one of the greatest diss songs ever! No Rest for the wicked off temple off boom was also sick. I like both of those songs better then the one Ice Cube and Wack 10 did "king of the hill" so in my opinion B-Real one that battle hands down...
The beef started because MUGGS let Ice Cube hear the song "Throw your set in the air" and Ice Cube stole the hook and put it out on the "friday" song off the "friday ost" before Cypress Hill released temple of boom. W.C. and Muggs used to live in the same house at one point in South Central and found it a conflict of interest to take part in the beef...

From worldwideconnected.com:
Rumours that the beef between these two power factors from the westcoast started when B-Real played a demo of the Cypress Hill album “Temples of boom” for Ice Cube. According to B-Real Ice Cube took the hook from the track “Throw Your Set In The Air" and used it in the track "Friday" from the soundtrack under the same name. Cypress Hill started this lyrical warfare with the track “No rest for the wicked” from the final and remastered version of “Temples of boom”. Dissin Ice Cube on more than one level with lyrics like;
I got Cube melting in a Tray, Pulling up his card & fucking up his good day!”.
Soon after “Temples of boom” was released Ice Cube recorded a diss back with his partners WC and Mack 10 (Westside Connection) on the group’s first album “Bow Down". On the track “King of the hill”Ice Cube teams up with Mack 10 and disses Cypress Hill as a direct reaction to the track “No rest for the wicked”.” King of the hill was not the only diss track towards Cypress Hill on the album on the track “cross em out and put a k” bust WSC lyrics like;
B-Real and Miss Muggs is like Hollywood bitches From the niggas I know in the streets I run through Swear to god bitch, real it ain't one dog and no(body) So watch what you say,who ya talkin bout,ya tweakin And keep hogs out'cha mouth when ya bitch ass is speakin I'm sick wit it,cappin'cha dome till I hit it This Westside Connection,Cypress know they can't fuck with it
When Cypress hill heard that Mack 10 had joined up with Ice Cube it caused more heat to the now on going beef. Cypress Hill didn’t take long to respond with the track “Ice Cube Killa” or the tracks other name”Fuck Westside connection” which an unreleased track with the same beat as WSC track "king of the hill". Cypress also got hold of a rapper that sounded exactly as Cube to rap on the track so it sounds like Cube is dissin himself on the track, when in reality it is a completely different rapper. Ice Cube’s cousin Kam also got involved in the feud when he felt dissed by Cube. Kam hailing from the east side of Los Angeles felt dissed when Cube was rappin about the Westside on bow down. Kam also dissed Cube on the track "Whoop Whoop" produced by DjPooh. Rumour has that one of Kam’s homie’s beat down Cube on a party and snatched his Westside connection chain. The same chain ending up in B-Real’s hands later on. The beef is now squashed but not totally forgotten and it’s uncertain if the two clicks’ is going to be as tight as there were before the beef.

sometimes it doesn't take a lot to take a clear advantage in a beef ... "and B- Real sounds like he got baby nuts" , nothing complicated but enough
-
Cypress Hill got em in there ass.......
-
Cypress Hill got em in there ass.......
agreed
and you niggas can call me a dickrider i dont care when u have to take someone else's shit and make it a HIT classic single(it really is) YOU LOST
-
B Real ended up with his chain, so I think its safe to say Cypress took em on a street level
-

solo took ice cubes chain in a lil scuffle on the street so he stole his WSC chain and his watch and then he went on to meet cypress later on that night at the house of blues i believe and they took pictures of it but i felt it was irrelevenat because nobody from cypress took the chain it was solo. at the time kam and solo had beef with cube so that explains it.
-
westside connection obviously
-
I think lyrically Westside Connection came harder. B-Real and them knocked out Cube and jacked his chain too.

Cube was supposed to be on B-Real's album that drops next month. Don't know what happened with that ??? ???
B-Real was saying that a lot of people were still confused as to if they really squashed the beef or not so he wanted to put the ambivalence to rest.

They killed the beef and did the Men of Steel track immediately after.

Yeah, that's a good track. If somebody has the dirty version of this song, hook it up.
