It's been nearly five years since Knoc-Turn'Al dropped his full-length debut album, "The Way I Am." The album featured guest appearances from Snoop Dogg, Warren G, Xzibit, DJ Quik, Nate Dogg, Dr. Dre, Scott Storch and more. The album spawned a hit single, the self-titled "The Way I Am" featuring Snoop Dogg and was produced by Scott Storch. The album was well-received by fans and critics and Knoc-turn'al had a bright future ahead of him. Since then, it's been rare to hear from the Long Beach MC, but fans have stayed patient as Knoc-turn'al has been plotting his return.

With an album titled "The Book Of Knoc" set to drop this year, Knoc-turn'al is ready to come out of the bat cave and claim his posistion as the prince of the west coast. "The Book Of Knoc" also boasts an intriguing guest appearance lineup of Dr. Dre, Scott Storch and more.

We have for you today, the lead single from "The Book Of Knoc." The track is titled "Ya Boy Is Back" and Knoc-Turn'al enlists the man who produced his "The Way I Am" hit single, Scott Storch!

I'll have to give this more spins to give it a proper judgement.

Post by: penenstamp on January 13, 2009, 08:43:53 AM: Song's ok. tbh I expected more from Knoc's first solo track in years. The beat is mad generic (I've heard at least 50 similar beats before), but Knoc did his thing. Don't lie to yourself though: he can do better.

But I am very dissapointed about the beat, it sounds very cheap. Storch usually has crazy melodys but this one is alright and the drums are once again very weak.

Still a cool track though, Westcoast needs Knoc.
