Between Optimus Rime, The Bay Area Bully and all of his other mixtape he put out over the past year, Ya Boy has definitely solidified himself in the Cali scene. Next step, national. He has some special projects and announcements in the works for 2009 so be on the look out.
The Precise Music Group has always looked out for HipHopUpdate, so naturally I gotta show love back - So just wanted to mention that Ya Boy's "Kush 2009" mixtape should be dropping sooner than you think...................

Very true.. I agree we should be supporting more... but then on the flipside.. with all the free music that Bishop, Taje, Indef etc have put out that were all high quality. We got them for free and I'd be more than willing to buy all of them if they would print some up and sell them. They would all be great additions to my CD collection. Plus they all have some great covers to spark up conversation on the coffee table LOL

1. It coast 10 bucks, that pretty expensive as far as mixtapes go.
2. All the beats are taking from other songs, its not like there all orginal songs. I rather lisen to Ya Boy make new music with a new beat.
If the tape bangs, and im really feeling it. I have no problem spending 10 bucks for the hard copy. I do have some Ya Boy actual cds, So i do support him. But in this case i would like to hear it before purchasing. Which i pretty much do for evry cd i buy now days. Ive bough too many albums, just because i was a fan of the artist and then became very disapointed i shelled out 10-15 bucks for a cd i dont wanna lisen to anymore.

Yeah, that guy dosent have the tape. The tape is only being sold in hard copys, so its takes little less that a week to recieve the cd. Hopefully it will leak in the next few days cause im dying to hear this shit.

The quality, of the version i got, Is damn good. I couldnt even tell the diffrence. And i played it on a decent sound system. And it sounds goood.
BTW- THE TAPE IS ABSOLUTE FIRE

You got to admit, Ya Boy has great work ethics. Dude dropped like 5 mixtapes/street albums last year, drops new songs all the time. Kush 09 just came out in the beggining of the new year, hes got another tape coming soon. Ya Boy stays putting out good music 8)
