The Jermaine O'Neal for Shawn Marion and Marcus Banks trade is gaining momentum and could be finalized within a week if Miami is satisfied with the health and play of O'Neal now that he is back on the floor.
Sources confirmed talks are nearly completed at the highest levels of each organization.
O'Neal, according to sources and various Internet reports, has told friends and acquaintances that he expects to be dealt to Miami. League sources tell the Star that nothing is expected to happen in the next 24 or 48 hours and it could be more than a week before any deal is finalized.
Hmm interesting. Looks like Dallas is also interested in Marion...
Sources indicate that the Mavericks and Heat have discussed a Shawn Marion for Josh Howard trade.
Jerry Stackhouse would likely need to be included in order to make the trade work in regards to the salary cap.
You guys think either trade will actually go through?
-
Interesting.
-
i dont know about either trade for the Heat.
Marion isnt playing like his old self; but hes such a great all around player.
-
I do. With Marion's expiring contract and how much he is making. I think now he is going to be bounced around from team to team, it will be hard to find a spot where he can play out his career at.
-
Josh Howard for Marion would be yet another dumb ass trade executed by Dallas.

if both these offers are really on the table, Mia would be dumb to do the Tor 1 :-\
-
^ true that, howard would fit in nicer then JO...

I love this deal for Toronto. I would trade pretty much anyone to get JO out of TO right now...Total let-down this guy was for us :P

Riley is denying this

Riley is denying this
Riley wants to see JO in a couple more games to see if he is healthy or not.

yeah; because if it doesnt go through & he is stuck with Marion he doesnt want Marion thinking he's tryna dump him lol.
-
Everybody knows JO will never be "healthy"... what is he waiting for? If he's not hurt tomorrow, he's hurt next week. Who gives a shit?

word; even in Indiana he was injured all the time.
had potential to be a very domainant force; especially with that above average mid-range game for a big man.
too injury prone. :-\

LOL...remember when Spice was talkin about how great he was and ya'll agreed. JO is finished. this would be a dumb trade for Miami. The Marion for JHoward trade is more reasonable, cuz they're both overrated small forwards.
-
LMFAO at everyone blaming JO for Torontos struggles haha! Maybe its because Moon and Parker suck, Calderon can't play D, they have no bench and Bosh shoots way to many jumpers. JO is not the reason why Toronto has struggled, they should of kept Ford over Jose but Im glad they didn't.

huh?

that would be a pretty good addition actually...
J o neal
U. Haslem
M. Beasley <-- seen big things coming out of the rook already this year.
D.Wade
Mario Chalmers

yea, both Marion and JO are pretty weak...JO is better when healthy. Marion is a garbage-man. he's good at cleanin shit up, but pretty useless in a system like Miami.
