...saw him at the hospital just hours before he passed and he looked like he was gonna pull outta it. He's had heart problems for years, but I guess when you're 70, it all finally catches up to you.
He was a good man. Meanwhile, some asshole rapist is still roaming the streets looking for a victim, and he'll live forever. Such is life I guess.
RIP.

Thanks for the love homies. It's hard man. I'm not gonna lie, I am cryin here as I type. He taught me so much, he basically raised his younger brother, my father. I owe so much of him, and all he wanted me to do was spend more time with him. But like a fuckin idiot, I thought about myself and didn't go around him as much as I should of. SO now I'll probably kick myself in the ass for the rest of my life. I deserve it though.

i feel you on that, i went through the same shit with my grandfather, its such a difficult concept to grasp that you will never see this person, hear this person again. all you have is memories, pictures and stories, and in that way he will live forever
-
Sorry to hear that man. Life is full of good times and bad times, neither of which last forever. Peace.

Don't kick yourself too much over it man. Like you said, your uncle was a good man. So I don't think he would want you to kick yourself over it :-\ . Just know that life is in a sense short. So try to spend as much time with your friends & family, because you can never see them enough. Sorry for your loss bro.

I know how you feel man, My aunt passed away a month back, she was only 57. It was really sad and hard, she was a great women, and i use to spend evry weeknd at her house with my cousins, when i was younger. Her kids are my age, i couldnt even imagine loosing my mom at 22. And as you said, I wished i would have spent more time with her recentlly and i was really kicking myself for not being around more in recent years. Things do get better with time as corny as that sounds its true. I wish the best to you and your familly durning this time, and just remeber there in a better place now. May your Uncle and my aunt rest in peace

Hey man I'm sorry, I know that it is hard to lose a loved one, just stay up and spend time with your family. Don't be afraid to laugh and bullshit with them about the man he was. Toast to him, and remember he's lived through a lot here on earth and now he's no longer burdened with the troubles our world has.

Sorry for your loss man. RIP

Im Sorry to hear that bro, May Your uncle Rest In Peace.
I know how hard it is to lose an uncle or any family in general, 4 years ago i lost my uncle due to cancer.
It was very hard, i mean going through the time when we took him in on a day before thanks giving day,
he didnt look all that well, so we took him in.
Everyone thought he was gonna be fine and be out by the next day, so he can celebrate with the family.
But the next day came and the doctors found something, few day's pass on.. the doctors come up and tell us
they found cancer, now at that time it was a blow to hear that, but I believed that he was gonna pull through..
from there he had surgery done to try and remove the cancer, turn's out durring the surgery they puncture his liver..
which make's thing's even worse, so i mean i went from seeing him going in, being able to walk and speak, to as time went on
to seeing him getting weaker, to the point where he could no longer walk or talk anymore, his skin had turned yellow due to the liver
and his kidneys were failing, i remember the day we had to tell him that he only had 1 week to live, it was the most heart wrenching
expieriance in my life, because i knew right then and there my uncle wasnt gonna make it, it hurt so much..
i couldnt tell him, so the doctor went on and let him now, as he heard when the doctor explained to him.. a tear came down his eye
now a few day's passed my grandma was staying there by his side evry day and every night..
on the 4th day since the new's, my family get's a phone call at about 1:00 AM. from my grandma calling to let us know that my uncle had passed..
but as she was on the phone, the doctors come back to say that they revived him, but soon after he passed away..
as he layed there no longer alive my mom ,uncles, cousins (his kid's), Wife and aunts showed up.. i didnt get to go cause i was in a deep sleep so i didnt wake up
when they were trying to wake me up, as they described him on that hospital bed, he had a tear in his eye it was mixed in with blood, he had a peaceful face though..
Till this day it still hurt's me.. I aint gonna when i deeply think about it, i still cry.. the pain will always remain fresh. I never got my chance to say goodbye.
sorry for going off on my experiance.. just had to get it off my chest..
Stay up though homie!.. Im sure he's in a better place now!

My condolences to you and your family; may he RIP.

Condolences to you and your family, people passing is never easy. I can relate to feeling guilty about not spending enough time with a loved one who passes, but it speaks volumes that you were there in the hospital to visit. Unfortunately, it's the cycle of life and these situations help us grow, but they are not easy. God bless.

Thanks for the love. The funeral was yesterday, and it was hard as fuck, but my family got a lot of closure out of it. I guess it's life, and we're all gonna get to that point someday.
I just feel horrible for my Aunt. She was married to him for 43 years and all their kids are grown so she's gonna be lonely as hell. It's fucked up, but what can you do?

softly the angels come
they feel ther need the love
softly heavens music plays
this death may take days
then the human shows a sign
a weary sign of heavens most devine
angels lift him and take away
a sunrise made new that day
so if you want to see your freind
he is in the sunrise where he won't end
Gods tears come as rain there
washes away the hurting cares
an angel abounds in heavens glory
for he feels the sons love
watches out for morning glory
for God's beautiful love
