that would be my guess....
-
but i dont see a hdmi output
-
Look good behind your TV, the HDMI output is often placed at a weird place upside down, to avoid that the cable takes up place behind the TV.

What type/model TV you got ??
If it says HD, there should be a HDMI or DVI input, as far as I know..

Not quite sure how to get HD out of that thing, maybe Composite video or S-video inputs..
How that one can be 1080i compatible is beyond me.. :eh:
Your screen is 27' and not widescreen, here's what 1080i implies:
1080i is a high-definition television (HDTV) video mode. The term usually assumes a widescreen aspect ratio of 16:9, implying a horizontal resolution of 1920 pixels and a frame resolution of 1920 × 1080 or about 2.07 million pixels.
This is probably what your TV does:
1080i is directly compatible with CRT-based HDTV sets. 1080i is compatible with newer 720p- and 1080p-based televisions but must be deinterlaced first in order to be displayed on those sets. Of note, a very popular panel size used in mid-range HDTVs is 1366 x 768; they are often advertised as 1080i "compatible" or "HD ready" - however these TVs, while accepting a 1080i signal will scale it down to the panel size of 1366x768 as they are physically incapable of displaying 1920x1080 resolutions
I'd go buy a cheap LCD if I were you, you can get cheap big widescreens these days, you know.

i got the 32inch one . so i i caint make my xbox 360 play n hd?
-
I don't really know anything about CRT's with HD-support, since we jumped straight to LCD/Plasma in my country, but you might get "HD" if you use a S-video cable..
But I suspect that your TV upscales the picture, and then scales it down to fit your TV, so I doubt that you will get the picture the game manufacturers intended.
-
you can hook up the 360 to this TV with component cables. almost the same quality as HDMI but not quite (HDMI is digital and component is analog. the difference between the picture quality is debatable)
you'll also be able to display in 1080i which is by far a lot better than SDTV (SDTV displays in 480i)
-
^^ HDMI is quite a few notches better than component..
And you need a widescreen to display 1080i, 1080i is basically a 1920×1080 resolution, and that's just physically impossible on EBK's TV..

this is the back of my tv and my tv does have widescreen on it i can switch to wide screen to full screen . witch side should i pluge the 360 n for the best pic?
-
Go for Component cable.. you'll probably need to buy a component cable, they don't bundle them with TV nor Xbox.. make sure to tell them that it's for Xbox-use..
Looks like this:

i got that when i got my xbox. one side says 480i/480p other side says 1080i
-
You sure you're not confusing them with Composite cables.. ? Those 3 you have attached there, is composite.
I said Composite cables earlier in the thread, when I really meant Component cables.. :P

no thos ones are for my cable box. when i plug the Component cables to the 1080i side it looks a lilbetter but every thing is streched out more. so witch one should i use 480i/480p 1080i

You might have to go into the TV-settings or/and the Xbox360 settings menu and choose which kinda cable you use and what resolution you want, or try changing the TV's aspect ratio, they usually have 4:3, 16:9, zoom modes, automatic fit, depending on the TV's features.. try the "widescreen button" on the remote or check the menus..
Another reason could be that your TV upscales the picture, so you're seeing a "fake" HD-resolution..

well if i put on full screen on 1080i everything looks all streched out but when i put on widescreen it looks much better. i got black bars with wide screen on

Hmm, a resolution issue probably, might be solved in the Xbox's menu settings..
But not quite sure what you mean, you should post up a couple of pics how it looks and which settings you use.. but gotta go now, back tomorrow..
