The Los Angeles Lakers have traded Vladimir Radmanovic for Adam Morrison and Shannon Brown.

The Charlotte Bobcats sent struggling forward Adam Morrison and reserve Shannon Brown to the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday for forward Vladimir Radmanovic.
The move is the third trade the Bobcats have made this season in a roster shakeup under first-year coach Larry Brown.
Morrison was the third overall pick of the 2006 draft and managing partner Michael Jordan’s first major move since buying into the Bobcats. But Morrison had failed to crack the starting lineup and his minutes had declined under Brown.
Morrison will give the Lakers an outside shooting threat, while the 6-foot-10 Radmanovic gives the Bobcats more depth up front.
I'm gonna miss Rad but Phil was treating him like shit anyway. I kinda like Shannon Brown so we'll see how this turns out...

Yeah, i'm checking it. If i'm correct, the Lakers will save about 11 millions over 3 years. They're saving some cap room for Odom, Ariza............. or Shaq. ;D ;D ;D

Then maybe it was a money thing, not a cap space issue. If the Lakers resign Odom and Ariza they are looking at over $90 million total salary plus luxury tax. While Jerry Buss can afford it, it is still a lot of money to pay even when making a profit. And like you said, the Lakers get a player who could be a good role player on the team.

whatever, it's not like Radmanovic was doing a whole lot
he had potential to knock down 3's and step up on defense for a change but it didn't work it
he's pretty inconsistent and was a liability on defense in the Finals, and if this helps the Lakers financially then I'm cool with the trade
who knows, maybe Morrison will hit more shots than Vlad, limited playing time or not

Adam Morrison fucking sucks. He played for Gonzaga in a completely shitty conference - the Zags were the only team that garnered any success in that conference, and he got insane love from the refs. Dude is pure hype and is a crybaby bitch.
And yeah Shaq has been lobbying a little to get back to LA before its all said and done...we'll see.

I have mixed feelings on this trade, the whole things comes as a huge shock to me.
On one hand, I feel like Radman SHOULD be more useful to us than Morrison and Brown are going to be (although I'm pretty happy about Brown, we could use a defensive guard off the bench). Radman was great last year for us, and is a very solid player, way too good for us to be just wasting away on the bench like we've been doing.
But then again, the reason Radman stopped getting playing time had a lot to do with his attitude. I've even read that he made a habit of showing up to practice late). We're competing for a championship this year, we just have no room for this type of shenanigans.
Morrison is horrible though. I try to be as optimistic as I can but I'm sorry, this dude is garbage. But I would like to say that if there is a coach who could find some use for him, it'd be Phil Jackson.

Great point. Nobody ever talks about his defense and rebounding, which he was damn good at. He wasn't just a one dimensional scorer who wont give you anything when his shot isn't falling. He was a great all around player who was also a top tier shooter.

I'm not anticipating to see this moustache fool in our jersey ... who knows about Brown , he might become another Ariza knowing his game is similar to Trevor's when he 1st arrived i.e good atleticism , some abilities to D but cannot shoot to save his life ...anyways both players won't see any minutes this year

He was one of the best players in NBA history before he became a 3-point threat. He worked hard at something and became among the best at it. Maybe he'd never even qualify to enter one of those And1 ball handling competitions, but how many times did Larry lose the ball on the court?

his minutes have gone down each month since 21 a game the first few months, down to 15 minutes a game
