Thank u very much, Lu, for the positive words and support! Yes I do plan on releasing a solo record very soon..(hopefully complete by this Fall, stay tuned!) And yes I have been in the studio with Quik recently.. Listen out for his upcoming new release, we had a blast getting together again and recreating that old Fonky magic!!!
Stay Fonky, R.B.
I had to share this with you guys...

Can't really WAIT for the project now!!

idk why but I thought Bacon was dead. Didn't he work with MC Eiht too?
but anyway with Bacon on some the of the instruments, Blaqkout should have a hint of Quik's production from back-then. 8)

Good to here the albums gonna be funky

Wow....Robert involved....if Gone gets together with Quik, this could very easily be one of the strongest albums ever put together. I hope Quik getsthe best of Kurupt and mentors him to spit the realest shit he possibly could. This is by far my most anticipated album in a long time.

Does RB have any published solo material available?

Thanks for the news!!!
DJ Quik, Robert "Fonksta" Bacon & G-One.. the Fooooonk is back!!!

awesome news :o
-
great news, the only problem with Blaqout now will be Kurupt's sloppy, predictable lyrics.
-
sounding more promising, i hope theres no weird overly experimental style shit on it though!
definetly no fixxers style crap

Here it is the very first live performance of DJ Quik (voice), Robert "Fonksta" Bacon (guitar) and G-One (drums):

And an old comment from Rob: G-One and I met even before I met or worked with Quik. He was actually an excellent drummer, and we had played together with several artists. I introduced him to Quik when we needed a drummer to do the "Arsenio Hall Show", when we performed "Just Lyke Compton" with a live band. Around 1992, when I went to New York for a while, Quik and G-One began producing some things together.
