lol @ gasol ;D
-
It was sick when he finally hit it, but there really was no way the judges were gonna give him a good enough score to advance after taking that long.
This whole dunk contest was pretty wack, and the other events prior to the dunk contest were a billion times worse.
-
lol what a wack score, he should've gotten a higher one. It was a dope dunk, only sucks that it took so long lol

You don't really get a lot of lift jumping off someones back...the dunk was still impressive, not as easy as you think. Rudy woulda advanced if he didn't try his dunk 6,000 times before he nailed it.

This is the worst argument against Rudy when you consider that Nate Robinson actually won the dunk contest after 8000 attempts in 06.

that was before they had a timer...and Iguodala was robbed that year, anyways. this year, Nate deserved it.

what difference does the timer make? The new rules allow for 2 attempts after the time expires so he was within the rules. I mean god damn if you're gonna give Dwight a 50 for that first dunk he did then Rudy's 2nd should have easily been a 50. And I agree with you on Igoudala being robbed, but I was citing an example of a precedent for not being penalized for a much bigger number of failed attempts than Rudy had. If Nate wasn't penalized then Rudy shouldn't have been either. Its whatever though, all star weekend has become a joke anyway.

Like I said, Iguodala was robbed that year, Nate shoulda been penalized in my opinion...no way anyone should get a 50 on a dunk that takes over 3 attempts.
