Man , the beats we're more complex ten years ago . They've become simplistic and boring . He needs to hook up with Sam Sneed and Mel Man so they can give his beats some character. I thought Dre would get better with age ,but better sounds were being created 10 yrs back .

If you think the beats made today are better then in the 90's, you're the one who needs help.

actually i spotted a pattern in dameons' post archive, which is easy.
anyway, if you want to know what i think of Dre as a producer: i think he's the most consistent producer out there.
with Dre's old material, there's stuff that some people like, but others don't; this is no different with new Dre material.
there's nothing you can do about it.

Tight shit

Agreed, "Keep Their Heads Ringin" shits on almost all the new material, I don't know if its fair to compare though. Everytime I hear that joint, I hear something new in the beat. Peep the 3rd verse, that synth 8)

get plenty of ass so call me an astronaut. Even wit the shitty lyrics the hook and beat make it a certified classic!

it's better not to think about Dre's past work, it will make Detox easier to listen too
-
It's true, Keep Their Heads Ringin'>>>>Dre's new piano loops.
However, I reckon the beats Dre saves for the album will be much more complex and varied than what we've been hearing so far.

Dre will keep it true to the formula he's been using since day 1, so don't expect anything complex
-
crazy beat
don't foget his beats on 2001 which were just as dope though 8)

Dre's style changes every couple of years, but this style (94-96) was one of my favorites. I think most of it is because Sneed was doing the co-production, so it had his sound to it as well. And I agree, Keep Their Heads Ringin's beat is better than probably all these ones he's been making in the past couple of years.
-
It's not just a crazy beat. It's dope production all around. The beat by itself is cool but the chorus and BDP sample are part of what make that shit classic! This is probably my favorite song Dre ever produced so it's almost no point in trying to compare it to anything else.

I was just bumpin this last night. It's easily one of his best productions/tracks period.

Oh EZ Scotty Pockets AKA 321 back door open aguhghughu
