Exactly a week ago today, we at Raptalk.Net dropped part one of two parts in our monumental DOC interview extravaganza! In that read, The DOC took us down memory lane discussing all three of his solo albums, NWA, the car accident, The Chronic, 2001, DoggyStyle and more! (all quite in-depth may I add)
Today, exactly one week later, we bring to you the second and final installment in this two part interview.
The interview starts off with many questions regarding the infamous "Detox" album, which is of course set to be the third and final album released by Dr. Dre. The DOC credits to working on this album as being the hardest thing he has ever done in the music business - quite a feat for a man who has been apart of such legendary and well-crafted projects!
Just how often is everyone in the studio working on Detox? How much of the album is done? is Dr. Dre finally eyeballing a release date? All these questions and more are asked and answered!
One of the recent so-called album leaks featured a track with R. Kelly! Was that track really set to appear on Detox? What is with the rumors of Dre working with T.I., Lil Wayne and Fergie? It is all addressed people!
The DOC is set to re-gain his voice and come back for one final album, nearly twenty years after he suffered a car accident and lost his voice!?! Doesn't such a claim sound like an impossible fairy tale that fans are just waiting to come true! Well recent shocking revelations have revealed that it really is possible and The DOC walks us through the process that until Raptalk.Net dropped it on this interview, was mere rumors! Get all the details surrounding it!

The DOC:
Slim Tha Mobster is a young protégé that is coming out on Aftermath soon.
This young guy is so full of energy; he reminds me so much of me when I was a young guy. His skills set and his rhythms are right out of the golden age.
His flow is so old school, it’s just lovely to listen to.

We can’t wait to see what Slim Tha Mobster brings to the table. How much of the album is done at this time?
The DOC:
I’d estimate that we’re about 70% ready to go.

Great interview...It will be an awesome turn of events if he recovers his voice completely. About the lil wayne, fergie rumors...I'm wondering if there's a way to get the information to Dre that 90% of west coast rap fans ain't feeling those pop acts that are out now. I understand if he wants to draw in the younger crowd but don't alienate his longtime fans in the process. If he wants to feature some southern rappers how about going with Scarface or Outkast, someone who's put some time in the game and isn't a product of the bling bling era.

Wishfull thinking on DOC'S part. He has always been trying to weasel his way into Dre putting him back out, but Dre did the smart thing and told DOC to stay in the background and keep writing. That Helter Skelter album was a mistake and Dre saw it coming.The DOC makes top notch lyrics , but that album will never happen. Rap music is on life support anyways.

Raptalk.Net: In 2003, you put out the “Deuce” compilation album. Six-Two was a big part of that project. Do you still remain tight with him?
The DOC: Six-Two is the man and always was. He and I still talk from time to time. He wanted to try his own things and I wanted to allow him that movement because just like Dre, I’ve developed a certain way that I like to do things. You can’t have too many cooks in the kitchen or it’ll spoil the soup (laughs).

Six-Two is in Texas. I had to take a break from Silverback for a minute to concentrate on my ties to the West Coast. I had to build my shit back up, so I can do what I do back at the crib. But I came through for Silverback. But right now, I gotta be in L.A. where it's kinda popping. But I can't be up
here with all them niggas! I ain't got it like that yet!
Dubcnn: I did an interview with DOC a while back and he was saying that Deuce was supposed to be your solo album, but things didn’t work out. Can you elaborate on that?
Yeah, like you said it was supposed to be my solo album so I don’t know why he put his face on it *laughs* That kind of ran me hot. After the tour, I had missed like two cities, and Dre was like go ahead and turn yourself in that way they won’t come and get you off stage. I’m thinking while I was in there Doc was going to keep my spot for a solo album, but then Doc put it out with most of the songs on there.
Dubcnn: Did you write all the songs on that album?
There was one song called “Gorilla Pimpin’” that he wrote. I wasn’t too cool with letting somebody write something for me, but it’s not everyday that you get a chance to work with somebody like that on a record. Most motherf-ckers don’t even get the opportunity to f-ck with a dude like that.
Dubcnn: Looking back on that what are you thoughts now on that Deuce album.
It should have been promoted better than it was and I feel like a lot of bad moves were made as far as the people Doc had in control of it. They didn’t have enough experience. Dre wanted to put the album out! But at the time Doc’s greed messed up a lot of opportunities for people, just by being greedy. Sony ended up getting that record and he ended up being in the hole! That’s why I am glad he didn’t put my name on it like that. Because I would’ve been extra hot if it would have been my album, then he fumbled the ball and I’m in the hole with these motherf-ckers.

true, Six-Two was a bit more diplomatic in the interview than Erotic but there's nothing that leads to the conclusion that they're still cool.

Six-Two is still in Texas. I haven't had an opportunity to really deal with Six-Two since. A lot of those guys was really upset with me because they really wanted to take that trip with Dre. They didn’t appreciate me taking the record from him. But it was my record. Once I put this thing back together with the good Doctor, I might be able to reach back and grab them and all those young guys, and try it again. When I do records from now on, I’ma send my shit through Aftermath. If it ain’t going through Aftermath...
