Title: Niners looking at Warner
Post by: the ghost on March 02, 2009, 01:01:27 PM
Hmmm...wonder if it's just a ploy to drive up his deal with AZ....I wouldn't mind seeing him in SF though.  Although he probably won't put up half of last years numbers with our recievers:(

Rams, Cardinals, and now the 49ers. Is he trying to take every team from the NFC West to the Super Bowl?

LOL I won't complain!!  Do it Niners!!  Then sign TJ Housh and we have a shot at Super Bowl, Niners do have the money to spend but I'm sure they wont

Lol true story Cham.  I actually hope he stays with AZ.  The Niners need a lot more than a QB for 15 mill a year!

true that!

i think they can get back to the Superbowl.

the NFC is too inconsistant; unless the Cowboys & Giants play like there suppose too.

The Niners were looking very strong at the end of last year, and like the KC/Cassel situation it's a piss poor division. So I guess I'm the only one hear that's saying this but San Fran can win the division with Warner, and may even win it if Warner just leaves the division.

i swear, i really dont know what the 49ers upper managment be snortin.

this team is young, has under achieved mightly the last few seasons.  we cant afford a qb that will only last 1 maybe 2 yr.  mind u that our o line is inconsistent and that warner runs like charles barkeily swings a golf club.

have hill start while trying to acquire vick.

I think Hill is good enough to hit a wildcard....but past that we need an upgrade.  I'm just glad no one is talking about Alex Smith anymore.  Bust!

Looks like he is staying with AZ...I think he just wanted to have some leverage in the deal...They did offer him more 2 mill more after his meeting, so I guess it was a good plane flight;)

honestly, now that i think of it; he would make SF ALOT better.

the D lines dont stack up & just attack Gore, which is basically there only form of offense & Kurt can throw to ball.

plus you subtract Warner from AZ so that almost makes the 49ers division favorites at least, maybe some home field lol.

I think he would make the Niners better but instead of spending 12 mill on him per year, I think we could get a decent QB Leftwich or someone around that level for half that money and use the rest to get a receiver or two.  I think that Warner was helped alot by a strong O line and 2 of the top 5 WR's in the game at AZ.

Obviously having Fitz and Bolden helped but there is no doubt that Warner is the best available QB for the Niners to get and the absolute best shot at the playoffs next, as well as a great mentor for any young QB that they may draft.
