Title: Who's better... Ya Boy or Locksmith?
Post by: Halu Sination on March 09, 2009, 06:03:44 PM: Even though I liked Lock since his MTV battles, I probably woulda voted Ya Boy during Lock's Frontline days.

But as we hear more and more solo Lock joints, I'm realizing Lock is on a whole nother level skill-wise. Each track Lock drops, it seems like he's starting to reach a Crooked I/prime-Eminem level of lyricism.

i used to be a real big fan of ya boy shit... but dudes now kinda trashy... all this rockstar shit is hella gay... i didnt even check the kush 2009 tape... the rise and the fix still his best work to this day imo...

kush 2009 wasn't that rockstar shit, it had only old dre beats. Definitely better than all those rock star songs etc. but yeah, his older mixtapes are better.

Now, between Ya Boy and Locksmith. They're both good rappers, but I like to focus on the consistency of the music quality rather than how many joints are released by the artist(s) in question.
