Tracks out so far:
Kurupt & Quik - What You Really Wanna Do, Fuck Ya'll, Hey Playa
Saigon & Statik Selektah - Rules, So Cruel
Talib Kweli & Hi-Tek - Internet Connection
Joel Ortiz & DJ Khalil - Die Too Soon
It's Talib & Hi-Tek for me.
-
That is a difficult one but i think I'll have to go for that too as its a combination that I know can't really go wrong due to past tracks and a classic album. Next in line is Ortiz/Khalil.
-
Saigon is in my top 3 new come favs and Statik been killin' it so i'm rollin' with that duo plus the album is a few days away 8)
-
Kurupt/Quik HANDS DOWN! 8)
but isnt The Blueprint 3 going to be 100% Kanye produced?
if so, that is HIGH on my list. 8)
Saigon & Statik are real high up there too! 8)
-
talib and hi tek no doubt. but i'm really waitn' for that blaq poet /primo concoction.
-
^Primo isnt producing that whole album, is he? ??? :o

Virtually all of it. Only 1 not produced by him. That and RE are joint for me.

'u fucked up' was produced by easy mo bee and 'sitchuwayshunz' was produced by gemcrates (who's premo's assistant and is dope as well).

Fair enough. Thanks for the info.

This EP Xzibit is doing with one producer sounds interesting.
Also any collabos Muggs does with artists are dope. I know one with Kurupt is in the works and possibly one with Ras Kass.
-
This is how all albums should be in a fantasy world. There would be quite a few producers out of work probably if it was the case.

1. Joell Ortiz & Khalil - Ortiz is one of the best up-and-coming rappers in hip hop. Khalil has been dropping heat recently. The first song (the big & pac tribute) was fire so i'm anticipating something classic.
2. Saigon & Statik - the first two tracks ive heard were dope. The fact it was only made in 24hrs stops it from being my number 1 option but from what ive heard it will sound dope. Statik is fast becoming the hottest producer atm and i'm a Saigon fan so this is number 2.
3. Kurupt & Quik - both past their prime but should have some nice beats and west coast vibe. The first song was hot not amazing but it was good so i'll check this.
4. Hi teck & talib - heard these two together before and somehow this is likely to be a disappointment in comparison to their previous work.
Im interested in that Xzibit album and the royce/primo album could be fire.
-
or right! :stupid:
Xzibit & Jelly Roll should be a BANGIN album!
so with that my order stands.
1. Kurupt/Quik
2. Xzibit/Jelly Roll
3. Blaq/Primo
4. Saigon/Statik
5. Jay-Z/Kanye (if that goes does)
-
If Blueprint 3 is gonna be produced by Kanye only, then it's that.
But I voted for Kurupt/Quik.
-
Kurupt and Quick for me at number 1!
Then Joell Ortiz
Then Talib at three... Just shows how good some of the albums are when you can put others above a dude like Talib ... great music ahead for 09 8)
-
I'm a go with:
Tonedeff/Kno as Chico and The Man
Murs/Terrace Martin
Brother Ali/Ant
Pack FM/Domingo

Seems like it's the new tendency... and i'm okay with it! Mine is :
1. Kurupt / DJ Quik
2. Jay-Z / Kanye West
3. Talib Kweli / Hi-Tekk
4. Saigon / Statik Selektah
5. Blaq Poet / DJ Premier
6. Joell Ortiz / DJ Khalil
But I can't wait for any of them. :o
