i got an audio technica at2020

If you didn't already....
go to volume control > options > properties >audio input/recording > then hit OK
A new volume control pops up > Below the mic column hit advanced and make sure you check the box that says 'Microphone Boost'
Also make sure that the mic fader bar is put to the max
Hope this helped!

If none of this helped, try opening acid pro and looking around options for mic levels and put them all at max..

DONT push the levels to max. The levels will sound too hot.
The AT2020 is a condenser mic needing it will need phantom power so you just have to set that on your preamp. Should be a little switch.

HAVE YOU TRIED PLUGGING IT INTO YOUR COMPUTER?

Its actually in a phantom power, and the phantom power goes to my computer/wall.
I'm gonna try checking out the mic volume on acid pro.
