Title: question regarding acid pro 3.0

i have a question for those who record their own music...i use acid 3.0 and i got a mic a week ago. plugged it in and recorded some shit. only problem is it records at an extremely low volume, so i have to duplicate the take a few times to even hear it. anyone know how to fix this problem? any help is appreciated...thnx.

If you didn't already....

 go to volume control > options > properties >audio input/recording > then hit OK

A new volume control pops up > Below the mic column hit advanced and make sure you check the box that says 'Microphone Boost'

Also make sure that the mic fader bar is put to the max

If none of this helped, try opening acid pro and looking around options for mic levels and put them all at max..

DONT push the levels to max. The levels will sound too hot.

The AT2020 is a condenser mic needing it will need phantom power so you just have to set that on your preamp. Should be a little switch.

Its actually in a phantom power, and the phantom power goes to my computer/wall.

I'm gonna try checking out the mic volume on acid pro.

What kinda preamp are you using?

a rolls phantom power adapter pb23, 12 volt/48 volt

ive used the same exact set up before, it was just a different computer..

I'm actually not using a preamp, it goes from my amp to my pc, ive done it like this before and it worked.


nah, havnt fixed it yet.
