I was gonna post this a couple of days ago but forgot so thanks for posting. This track is banging. Production is just beautiful and three very solid verses to match it. These guys are so underrated it's laughable.
BTW, you can still pre-order this record (Strange Journey Vol 1) through Friday for $12 which includes shipping, autographs, instrumentals, a sticker, and another unknown treat. Furthermore, the album ships 3/24 and will be available to those who pre-order 4-6 weeks before it's even in stores.

Oh so this is from their new album? I won't listen to it then. Album is pre-ordered.
Album of the year 2009.

Thanks for the song, +1

Props, always good to hear some new CL, and the appearance from Slug was nice, I can't think of a feature that he has been on where the verse wasn't fire.

Great song but I gotta be honest, their last album was weak and I haven't really been checking for them since they fell out with Mr SOS or more specifically Kno fell out with him, although he does make an appearance on the Brownie song so maybe I will have to give this album a spin. I really don't feel they have been the same since their second album. It's not because "i don't get it" either, I just think that not having Mr SOS is a massive chasm in their lineup, lyrically that dude can outrap most, kno is also dope on the mic and yet he hardly ever gets on the mic anymore and production wise, I don't like the way they took the last album at all. A piece of strange was not to my tastes production wise either although there are a few great tracks on it, Nothing To Give being one of them and also The Gates.
Nah fuck it, I will download this when it comes out and then decide if i want to add it to my collection or not

Man, I'm really surprised you didn't enjoy APOS and Dirty Acres more. Both are excellent to me and I think Kno's production value will continue to rise as time takes its course. As far as Mr. SOS is concerned you'll be happy to know he's working on a solo record right now. It should drop this year if I'm not mistaken but we'll see.

It's the style of the production, I just don't like a lot of the laid back chilled samples, it just doesn't seem to fit to me but that's the beauty of music, we all find that the music expresses itself in a different way.
-
^True. Can't argue with that.
-
Also what's up with the fact that Valley Of Death KKKY are so short? those are two of the standout tracks from that album and Summer's Gone to, really irks me lol. Actually I am getting the two mixed up amigo, I feel a piece of strange was weaker than their last effort but those 3 things above really do annoy me, tarnishes what are really good songs. I still think as good as Deacon is though, he isn't a patch on Mr SOS and together, there was a great chemistry. Okay, now I will stop complaining lol.

I'll never understand why CL aren't more known in the mainstream. It's not that I really care, they ALWAYS give us good music album after album, but I think they deserve recognition.
This joint right here is really nice, can't wait for the albumS 8)

they just posted snippets of the songs on the new album.
The remix of "KKKY" with the guys from Nappy Roots sounds amazing!

So this is continuing the theme of sloppy seconds?

Yeah, this is what Kno wrote at QN5 regarding confusion over that:
I figured the interviews, YouTube videos, 20 guest spots, $12 & $16 order price vs. $17 and $20 for Dirty Acres, 2 parts dropping within 4-5 months of each other would have given it away.
No jacking for beats, no freestyles...its like SSV2...we just ended up with like 35+ tracks so we split it into 2 parts. I'm pretty sure I've never said this was our "fifth studio album" and Volume Two was our "sixth studio album", sorry if there was any confusion.
