It needs a bassline.  And also the beat needs a hook, with different melody/instruments, cuz it's almost bordering on repitituous but with a hook in there it would be straight.

Unique and innovative.

Of course a hook could take the song anywhere, but it's def. on some laid back smooth ish, nice.

right, well theres a huge booming bassline every 16 bars, it might just not show up on your speakers which is good because that lets me know i need to change it. and the hook is coming soon

My speakers are pretty straight and I think I hear it, but barely so up the volume.. Also what program you using?

Reason 4.0, with krk rokit monitors. pro tools 7.4 for mixing when i get there.
