While Daz Dillinger is currently on tour in Japan with Glasses Malone and Bigg Steele, he took the time to send us an exclsive update. He will be returning with a brand new solo album called "Public Enemiez" this summer, to coincide with the relase of the "Public Enemy" blockbuster movie coming soon.
This time around, he kept it strictly solo, as the only features on the album are R&B singers on the chorus, such as Latoya Williams, Nicole Wray, Tony Terry, Chris Star and Los. Other than that, the whole album is raw Daz Dillinger raps, with production coming from Daz, Soopafly and I.V..
Daz also sent us an exclusive preview track off the album to premiere on the site. It's called "Tell Me What You Got", and finds Daz reminiscing about the Death Row days and telling stories of how he came up and got to where he is now.

And last but not least we have another exclusive joint for you. Most of you will remember Bay Area rapper Mac Shawn from his affiliation with The Click and from his numerous features with the Dogg Pound crew. He dissapeared for a few years but it looks like he's back in the lab as Mac Shawn 100! We've got a brand new joint he recorded with Daz called "Party Don't Stop".

dope track. daz puttin more effort with his rhymes lately. the beat is on point. looking at the tracklisting the album looks like it'll be a bit more deeper/introspective imo. will be coppin this album. still blasting "only on the leftside." cant believe that album was slept on. fontana should've pushed the album with some major promo with all those big name features it had plus dope production.

I use to buy evry daz album, but i havent been feelin dudes music as of late. I no longer anticpate his releases. I thought Gangsta Party was garbage except a few songs, i also thought Ony on the Left Side was pretty weak too besides a few cuts...RAW, Retaliation Revenge and Get Back, Dogg Pound Gansta LP,DPGC You know what im throwing up, So So Gangsta (gets alot of hate, but its a really solid album) and the first Who Ride with us (DAMN that CD was fucking dope!) were all great cds.....Daz just seems to put out soo much material insted of focusing on making another Great album, he rather throw out 3 decent/medicore albums insted of making a dope record. Hopefully well get a great Daz album soon.

daz's gangsta party album was just plain weak, and thats mainly because daz didnt produce any of the songs. i think it was all produced by dj extra large.
dj extra large needs to stay away from making beats, and leave it to people who know what they're doing, like daz.
when daz does his own beats, and makes them hard westcoast gangsta shit style beats, no one can compete with him in that style of beats.
yes, daz's last album "only on the left side" had filler tracks, but it also had some incredible tracks on it aswell. these songs were dope:

I agree with the folks sayin Daz puts way too many garbage tracks out. You usually get about 3-4 cuts that are great from each album then the rest is all garbage.
As far as this goes for a single, no way. He needs to focus on his future and quit thinking/talking about Death Row all the time. For him to diss Suge is ironic when Suge Knight made him the star he was. It was Suge's idea to put Daz & Kurupt together as a group. It was also Suge who said to release "Dogg Food" when everyone was feelin Death Row instead of releasing The Lady of Rage's album. He put Rage on the backburner for Daz & Kurupt. Daz had his greatest success of his career on Death Row and him and Johnny J were the best producers when Dre left. I think it was a mistake by Suge not to release the "Dogg Shit" album in 1997 (the original 'Dogg Shit,' not the one they made 10 years later).
I thought his So So Def music was on point but he couldn't get along with JD. "Party People" w/ Jagged Edge, "It's My Thang," "Git Drunk," "Fo Sho" ft. Jermaine Dupri, "Boyz In Da Hood," "Weekend," "The One" & "Caught Up In The Game" w/ Jagged Edge, "Badder" w/ Avery Storm, and "Strizzap" w/ Ice Cube, and a bunch more. Those were some of Daz's best work and he proved he still had it post Death Row but he seems to not be able to get along with any CEO (Dre, Suge, or Jermaine Dupri).

yeah ever since he started his own label, he's been putting out stuff on a regular basis, hoping to make more money.
i mean look at his dubcc account; he's mainly using the forum for promo purproses :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:

I like this daz track.
i think he should get DJ Quik to come and mix the whole album.
also to mix the next Dogg Pound album.
IMO that is one of the biggest differences from his music from back in the day.

daz needs to stick to makin beats with the westcoast gfunk sound, whether they're real hard tracks, or real smooth tracks, he needs to keep it westcoast gangsta funked out. if he stays with that formula, he will win his fans , and they will want to purchase his product, coz he would be bringin the dopest westcoast shyt out with just straight westcoast classic material.
daz is releasing his albums on the independant, so there's no need to make his music for the teenie boppers watching mtv, coz daz is on the independant, and he only has to make music for his core fanbase, coz they're mainly the ones who will be buyin his records, and they want to hear the westcoast gfunk sound on his album, coz they all grew up listening to his music from the 90's. thats what the fans want to hear, and not no south crunk shyt, or eastcoast shyt, or bubblegum pop shyt.
daz knows what the fans want coz he reads these forums, so its up to him to act on that.

whats the story on this ivan johnson guy?.... he co-produced all the daz produced tracks on d&yg 2 , "YG - same day different shit", & "daz dilli - only on tha left side".
supposedly he's from atlanta. i guess this guy kind of took the mike dean role with working on daz's productions

One of my favourite tracks/beats from the album, but i remember somebody postin' a track that was recorded before "Ryde & Creep" and it had the same beat (Mack 10 was featured on it, can't remember the other artist though). Anybody remember that?
