Title: Dr. Dre is taking his time recording a track for his son
Post by: BiggBoogaBiff on March 23, 2009, 01:09:29 PM
That's probably why Detox has been delayed until the end of the year.  He already lost a brother and now a son, i think he would want to talk about that on Detox.  But that's my theory, don't really give a shit if u care or not.

I know.  And since this is Dr. Dre's last album you would assume he's making a track for his son.  It's ironic for a nigga like Dr. Dre (gangsta music's uncle) to end up losing a brother and a son from the shit he preached about on his records... detox.

Dre didn't even meet his son until he was in his 20s. Kinda hard to convince me he cares enough to make a song after his death when he didn't care about him in life.

a track to his son would be appropriate for detox.

Exactly, and Dre didn't meet his son when he (his son) was in his 20's- he died when he was 20.  And plus you don't know how that man felt about his son, let alone all his kids.  They're a family (hood surgeon & manaj) all that dissin and problems is for publicity- don't be fooled brotha.  Anyways enuff tellin ya'll wassup, Dr. Dre will probably be a little bit longer on releasing Detox just for that fact alone.  it only makes sense.  you can image how emotional/difficult it is, especially 4 a person who doesn't display his feelings like they say he don't.

Either way, he never knew his son until before he died. That is well documented. Of course all of the bullshit was for publicity. Squabbling like that between family normally stays within the family, and when it doesn't, it's obvious there are other motives.

Writing a eulogy about someone you don't know is, in my opinion, disrespectful. As I can already tell, most of you disagree with me, but fuck it.

I wonder if he'd have someone else write that

Another reason why he shouldn't have a tribute track to his son, because he probably won't be the one writing it.

There should be a simple "Rest in peace Curtis" thing in the booklet and/or a short interlude in between tracks. That is what would be appropriate.

Dre didn't meet Curtis (Hood Surgeon) until he was in his 20's.  Andre Young Jr. is the son who died.

Why his late son's name is Andre Jr. You don't seem to be reading much of this "well-documented" information yourself or you'd probably know that.

Even if that's true, that'll just make the song better.  hince the bigger picture, it would be influential.
