and it's not even close. Obviously production on GBA completely shits on the last 2 Cube albums. WC also flows better then Cube, even though I give the edge lyrically to Cube
-
I never really liked "Laugh Now, Cry Later"
"Guilty By Affiliation" was a good album.... and "Raw Footage" had some keepers on it
-
I can listen to laugh now and cry later without skipping a track.. cant say about other albums.. in fact fuck it, thats my favorite cube album... beats are up to date, tight lyrics, good flow.... but then again you like ego tripping so i understand why your opinion is formed like this
-
id say they all pretty equal to me

na, GBA was some classic shit to me.
just a great fuckin album. 8)
but not to take away from Cube's albums, they were fuckin hot too. 8)
but GBA > LNCL/RF.
its not as large of a difference as the threads title would claim, imo, but GBA was definatly better.

cosign, GBA is still in my rotation.

That's something I can def agree with you on. I was actually just listening to GBA like an hour ago. It's a great disc, better than both the Cube albums, but those aren't too far behind. I think cause it's Cube, the standards are going to be higher, but still, WC cleaned him on both those. I'm liking WC better everytime I hear his shit, but maybe that's just cause I never really payed much attention to the guy. And since all you love using the > and <, I say it's like this:
Guilty By Affiliation > Laugh Now, Cry Later >>>>> Raw Footage
Thats not taking anything away from any of those Cube discs though. I thought Raw footage had some good shit, but some filler shit as well. Same with LNCL, but more on RF.
Guilty By Affiliation is MAD underrated, much like everything WC does.
-
wc is more of a artist than cube on many different levels no disrespect to cube tho

it was you fav cube album? I take you've never heard Cube's past work
-
WC's was better every track had some sort of "feature" on it, Cube in the background, etc. Less lonely sounding.

Yeah 3 great albums.

^^^^EVER SEE THE RAW FOOTAGE PROMO COMMERCIAL??^^^
-
"Laugh Now Cry Later" had some really great tracks and is far better album than "Raw Footage" in my opinion... but "Guilty By Affiliation" is on a whole another level - shit bangs from start to finish 8)

not really, it has more to do with how much Cube fell off
-
Can't comment on Raw Footage but GBA has had more plays than LNCL by me. So I agree.

actually RAW Footage showed that Cube still got it.
it's just that he's money hungry ;)
-
WORD @ threadstarter.. GBA shits on damn near anythin that came out the last couple of years..
CLASSIC!
-

Yup. All are dope, none are perfect.
-
Na, LNCR & RF> GBA, cuz Cube's shit is always different and intresting.

I think it's hard to say which one was better, because the 3 of them were some great albums. The thing is, that the Cube albums both had a few filler (and weaker) tracks, while WC's was more solid, and consistent.
But you've got to remember, Guilty.. didn't have a banger like "Why We thugs", "Steal the Show" and "Gangsta Rap made me..".
Who cares who was better, two vets put some OG gangsta shit, commercial-free, that's what matters.
-
Raw Footage should not be in that discussion ... this album is fucking wack except 4, 5 songs , LNCL is a good album with some very good bangers but GBA is clearly the best ... WC rips every beat and if it was not for 3,4 average tracks , the album would have been quasi perfect

How many "commercial" tracks those albums had?
Do Ya Thing... mayybe. And I Got My Locs on.. .but not really. Oh yeah, Go To Church... but not really. No Akon hooks or nothing like that. Few beats produced by south producers don't mean that an album is commercial...

you missed the point, he stated "commercial-free".
LNCL definitely has it's fair share of commercial appealing tracks; Raw Footage has a bit less and GBA probably the least.
so keep your assumptions to yourself
