When I first heard the news about Bishop Lamont getting dropped from Aftermath, I was really disappointed...because I had to think about all those artists that got dropped from the label (Hittman, Joell Ortiz, etc... the list is too long) from whom we couldn't hear any of that dope music they made with Dre. Most of them also didn't enjoy any success after they left. Of course we don't know what really happened, everything people on this board say about this subject is pure rumors, speculation and personal opinion, but it makes me a bit mad at Dre.
Then after all Bishop told he wasn't dropped... I was happy for the dude at first, but when you think about it he waited all these years and now he will have to wait until we're all retired (after the 2 Eminem, 2 50 Cent, AND Detox releases) to release his own album.
There is also one thing I just don't understand: why didn't 50, Dre or Eminem ever mention Bishop, of course there's this Khalil track with 50 that's finally coming out... but I hope we can hear Bishop on Relapse and BISD. This would be a huge promotion for him...if we don't, then its the ultimate proof Eminem himself doesn't like him/ Jimmy is fucking things up again/ Bishop is really just a maid working for the Aftermathotel lol.
For the ''I DOMINATE'' snippet, go to 11 minutes and heŽll play a snippet of that summer banger:

props, shit is crazy!! :D
-
lmao @ the ducktales dvd ;D
-
Damn, that sounds dope!
-
Nice find, beat sounds fly. He also said that he has a Warren G track with Nate, plus Kurupt and Quik are on the album. And that the beef with Game is over.
-
didn't really hear much of the 'i dominate' joint sounded very much like a timbaland style of track, although its dre right?
-
I actually think he called that record "rain" could be wrong but thats what i got
-
Who said it was I Dominate, or Rain? ;)
but I hope we can hear Bishop on Relapse and BISD.
He isn't on Relapse.

you're right about Eminem & 50 cent,
but was aftermath ever a family label then?
as far as Dre goes; well he said on the radio a few years ago that he wanted to sign bishop + he appeared in a youtube video with bishop + he was on calitroit ( even though he didn't drop a verse) and there are probably a few other things that i forgot to mention.
sure you can conclude that Dre was very slow with introducing Bishop Lamont and that he could have pushed Bishop a lot more,
but when taking into account that Dre spends a lot of time in the studio and that he isn't the type to be in the spotlights all the time,
it all makes sense right?

it sounds aight... i think hes right, it sounds like a track that woulda been a single a couple years ago. But I don't think that's a big deal, as long as its hot. It's hard to tell cause the audios so fucked up in the vid, but I don't think its the joint
-
shit sounds great, bishop was allways on point with his music.

Yes, you have a point right there concerning Dre...but concerning Eminem, its a fact that he hasn't given many interviews these years, but now the release of Relapse in sight, i wonder if these stupid journalists will finally ask him about Bishop.

i hope so actually

Im not sure its the I dominate single.. He mentions another joint just before he puts the joint on.. ?
-
Deifinitely sounds like some Timbo type of track, fuck I hope we get to hear it atleast one day...
-
I assume they haven't promoted Bishop because,
1. He's not signed to Em or 50
2. Eminem went on hiatus
3. 50 cent switched up his philosophy on how he handles artist under him even though they're more label mates - Em backed 50 originally, signed him to Shady records. Dre didn't sign him to aftermath.
4. There was never a real album release date
5. The Game situation altered how they handle artist development and promotion in Aftermath/Interscope
6. They don't care about him
