Dre is no better than Diddy. Dre is a slave to Jimmy the Jew who is doing a lot more damage to hip hop right now. And technically Royce isn't recording with Diddy he's just ghostwriting for him. Nothing wrong with gettin that paper.
^^One of the most ridiculous hip-hop posts I've ever seen. Dre is one of hip-hop's biggest hero's. He is a legend who should never be disrespected and put on the same level as Diddy.
Sorry, but I had to post this here on the main West Coast forum. Because over in the Outbound section there was a thread in which people were actually agreeing that there was no difference in credibility between Dre and Diddy, and that Dre was ruining hip-hop just as much or more than Diddy.
Here's the link to the thread where people were agreeing Dre is no better than Diddy....

I think that Mel-Man, Scott Storch and Mike Elizondo contributed more than Diddy did.. Mel, Storch and Elizondo brought us classics.. Diddy sort of did.. but not in the same way as Mel, Storch and Elizondo..
-
Neither of them. Both have brought significant contributions to hip-hop. The difference is Dr.Dre still does bring quality while P. Diddy doesn't. The artists Dre has co-sign have, for the most part, been worthy where as P.Diddy looks to release artist that can cash in on a latest fad.

Lol...what about Dre's N.W.A. and Death Row days? Those are when he had the most impact and he was doing his own productions.
This question is a joke. Dr. Dre has contributed immensely to hip hop, regardless of whether he makes beats by himself. Diddy, while I still think he's trash, at least got Biggie signed.

KANYE WEST

Diddy may be a dick but i wouldnt say he runied hip hop.
When im listening to ready die, life after death or numerous other bad boy releases i dont think wow diddy ruined hip hop even though he had a huge influence on them.
Its the artists who try and copy duplicate what diddy/dre do and do it badly that are ruining hip hop.
-
i think crack ruined hiphop.
this is clearly visible on the forum
-
they both didn't. they gave us some great hiphop albums.
-
Diddy brought us Biggie, he isnt all that bad.
his rapping lately is almost untolerable, but he didnt ruin hip hop.
& saying Dre is a reason for the downfall of hip hop is BLASPHEMY! :loco:
neither.
-
And HIP-HOP ISN'T DEAD OR RUINED!
There's just poor presentation and artistic control on a MAINSTREAM level due to CONSENSUAL acts between individuals (rappers and djs) and larger corporations (who fund the individuals and hence want to dictate how their money is used).
-
How the fuck did Dr. Dre ruin hip hop....your a retard.
-
Why is everything on this forum so overly analyzed
-
Diddy easily but hes not the worst thing to happen to hip-hop, he brought about some real dope artists, Dre in no way ruined hip-hop maybe the only thing u cud argue is the fact that hes such a lil bitch, that he let interscope take over aftermath, making it a joke of a label instead of a powerhouse, but neither of these two are the downfall of hip-hop, imo these supposed 'superproducers' are, left everyone seeking a hit, with the end product a bunch of generic ass tunes, add the south and autotune to that and here we are today...
-

Well, you got J.Flexx, Sam Sneed, Colin Wolfe, Daz Dillinger, Warren G, Chris The Glove, Bud'da, Stu-B-Doom, Emmanuel Dean (Damian Zellous) and ofcourse Yella. Producing and makin a beat ain't the same thang, you know what i mean?
-
biggie would've been a star regardless of diddy. Dre turns above average performers into stars.
-
TRL/106 & park
-
Dr. Dre has'nt really contributed to hip hop at all in recent years
how the fuck could he ruin it?
