I think from Dre we have to different approach :Beat with one or 2 sample (most of the chronic and doggystyle) and beat without sample all are composed (most of his recent work). Do u think Dre is a better producer when he use sample ? Vote and give ur opinion

i voted for the 3rd option as i don't spot a difference in quality.
by the way, i think he still uses samples quite often, just not as many samples as he used to.

The samples are still around, you just have to be a fan of French jazz music from the 60s to spot them lol

how can you NOT vote for the heavy sample-days like NWA or the Chronic
-
Dre's the sickest Hip-Hop producer there ever was, he's on some Quincy type shit!!

of course you would vote for the 3rd option. with a name like DRE-DAY you dont have to state the obvious.

I only care about hand to hand combat skills.

There's not that much difference between what he's doing now and what he did then. Back then he used established samples and improved on them and mixed them. Now he has in-studio musicians come up with melodies and does the same thing with them.

yes but they were basically recreating pre-existing samples.

This is like asking do you like Chronic or 2001 better. Dre kills it in both games. I think 2001 proved his the best in both, even in songs he sampled you couldn't tell he did. He makes the sound so clear that he has out shined all other producers since Elif4zaggin. Dr. Dre presents the Aftermath is full of hidden gems and all of his samples are perfect. His music that he straight produces is used with live instruments and that makes his sound so crystal clear that all of these producers with their electronic beats sound like amateurs with FruityLoops.
