How could you say the Mets will choke with Santana on the hill.  Has he proved to be anything other than outstanding overall?  I can't argue with him being the #1 pitcher in baseball.

i think he really meant that they were going to lose it for him; like a blown bullpen or lack of runs (and runs were clearly lacking). :P

You're right, and that is what happened his last outing if my memory serves me right.

All it takes is one run sometimes, thats baseball.   After the beating you guys got today, maybe you should stop be so concerned about the Mets.

i have like 150 games left to start worrying. ;)

pitching duels are the best games to watch though, but usually when its ace vs. ace; not best pitcher in all of baseball vs. Yovani Gallardo (who?)

gave up no runs to the Mighty Mets, nice. ;D

Right there shows you don't know much about Baseball.  He has nasty stuff and is very highly touted.  And a lot of people predict he'll eventually win a Cy Young.

lol, you cant predict something like that; thats just insane!

pitchers have on & off years, Bronson Arroyo went to the NL, owned for a season & just fell off.

point is, he isnt a Cy Young this year. :P

Neither was Santana last season doesn't mean hes not a good pitcher.  Gallardo is a good pitcher and will become an excellent pitcher.  And if people can't predict one day he'll win a cy young than you can't predict the Yanks will win the World Series

Santana is the shit.  Best pitcher in the game as far as I am concerned, Lincecum is 2nd IMO

What about his last start?  8 scorless innings with 13 Strikeouts, I would say that is the Linecum of last year that won the Cy Young.  He will have another great season.
