Snoop was on practically every track on Chronic, not so the case with 2001 as several tracks seemed to be missing that "it" factor. With Snoop probably being on 1-2 songs max on Detox we can predict how that album will turn out
-
chronic was better than 2001 for MANY reasons....did this really need it's own thread?

ya & if you think about it Hittman was actually that 'it' factor, too bad he wasn't poppin' all that much in da street. although I really pretty much dig anything I've seen Hittman do.
-
i thought Hitman had the best verses on that album sans Eminem on "whats the difference"

hahaha, this is groupie love all over again

still a classic for what it was but i mean kurupt, nate, daz, rage, rbx... snoop >>>>>>>>> Time bomb, Six-two, MS Roq, Hittman.

sixx two hasn't dropped many good tracks, anyone would sound good on that xxplosive beat, even bishop
-
Both albums are classics, but i like "The Chronic" more right now, but the feeling might change though.

No he does not, i still don't understand what is so special about him. Rage lyrically is way more better.

well, to rate him properly you need to listen to his music.
i wouldn't say that he's a lyrical murderer, but i like his style

Snoop blows now anyway. It can only benefit Dre if Snoop stands as far away as possible from Detox.
-
I think SD will be good on Detox.

Chronic over 2001 easily. From what I've seen in the past, it depends on where the listener is from and when they got into hip-hop. Not always, but a lot of times people that prefer 2001 over the Chronic either think Eminem is the best the best thing since sliced bread, or they are younger and got into hip-hop later.

there were filler tracks on 2001, so that automatically makes it worse then Chronic

and 2001 was all one-song-samples and the original Chronic had several multiple-song samples
