Interesting...... Is this a good or bad career choice... I'd say good, Diddy hasn't had a legit rapper to push with his money in awhile... And whether you like it or not, Bad Boy albums are making it into the stores... So it is what it is...
-
Been a while since Diddy has created a serious buzz for a rapper on the label. He was on that South craze for a bit but yeah he has a legit MC from the East that got lyrics so I am interested to see what he can do. Mack 10 did nothing with this dude.
-
Cafe is good too bad Diddy had to sell him out
-
Step 1: use him as a ghostwriter
Step 2: give him the run around
Step 3: release his album but don't promote it so it won't sell much but get paid either way
Step 4: keep him locked in his contract till his buzz is completely gone
Step 5: release him and blackball him so he'll only be a mixtape artist.
I'm calling it now.

I thought he was akons label?
-
Cool I havent heard much of this guy outside of the song on Coach Carter soundtrack, The one with Mack 10 and was it also Glasses?, and the one on Grandmaster Flash's latest album. He sounds good and hopefully this will be positive and he wont sell out but he needs a mainstream profile to get that money! 8)

He's had Aasim sitting on the shelves for ages, he can spit his ass off but all he does is ghostwrite for Diddy, shits wack...
-
Red Cafe has had so many songs that had potential to be big hits but whoever he was with at the time didn't promote him enough... "Yellow Bottle", "Bling Blaow", "Diddy Bop", "Paper Touchin'", etc... I don't mind Diddy signing him, as long as the album is dope and it drops with the right promotion
but his new shit "Hottest In The Hood" is dope as hell, here's the remix that just dropped today
Hottest in The Hood (Remix)(feat. Jadakiss, Rick Ross, Fabolous, Oj Da Juiceman & Diddy)

I do hope Red Cafe gets the chance to release an album. "School Of Hard Knock" and "Dolla Bill" are my favourite tracks from him, both bang like a muthafucka.
-
I still got that 'Buck, Buck' on rotate, shit is hard as a muthafucka.

Haha, joint is heavy like that.
-
Red Cafe is dope. Hope he does big things fucking with Puff. That 'Hottest in the Hood' remix isn't as good as the original, but Fab's verse was crazy.

STREET FI-DA-DA-DAMM!
Fabolous should stop staying that, sounds extremely gay..
Red Cafe is about as average as it's possible to get.. it's not that he's bad, it's just that he's so anonymous, he always get out-shined by the featured artist.

He was signed to Konvict, but that label doesn't have a distribution deal. Now that Bad Boy's scooped him up for a joint venture, Atlantic Records will be the distributor.
The album will be released via, Konvict Muzik/Bad Boy Records/Atlantic Records/Warner Music Group
EDIT: Actually, toss Red Cafe's Shakedown imprint into the above mix. ^^^

Another question for you guys... Is that project he dropped with DJ Envy any good? The Co-Op I think its called?
