I might have to change my prediction. If Carlos Delgado is out for the rest of the season the Mets will take the NL East.
-
How would losing one of their best players improve them?
-
because David Wright isn't FOOLISHLY batting 5th anymore

It doesn't matter where he hits in the line up, as long as Delgarbage is gone the team will play good.

They will cool off but the past three games have been the best three the Mets have played in three years.. They are moving runners along, sacrificing, hit and running, stolen bases. They are playing excellent small ball. They're busting their asses on every single play. I haven't enjoyed watching the Mets this much since 06.
No Delgado No Problem.

rumors on the radio that they might deal Reyes by the deadline; but i doubt there is much truth to them.
would be crazy though! :o

Yo, just a little curious, why is Delgado so bad? Does he fail too often in the clutch at-bats, and how is he a cancer?

1-complains alot
2-never been "clutch"
3-he's anti America

^^Fair enough, I remember Delgado being unproductive when it mattered, and having that negativity in the clubhouse is never good. The Mets dominated this weekend without him, I'm glad my Giants got a win today to avoid the sweep though. Does the NY media bash Delgado though? On the broadcast tonight, they basically said they need a leader and Beltran isn't that guy, and the game story said Pelfrey and his 3 balks killed it for them. I think both of those statements were retarded, they aren't a bunch of little kids that need to be babied, and even if Pelfrey gave up no runs, the game would have been tied. He had the best performance of the rotation in the series.
