When 50's street cred was at it's highest.
From http://www.8bm.com/diatribes/volume02/005/093.htm
Just recently Suge Knight arrived uninvitingly on the closed set of 50 Centıs "In Da Club" video shoot with 13-15 Mexican gangbangers that looked an awful lot like those Mexicans that were standing on the steps in Training Day.
According to reports, the camera crews were horrified and justifiably so. However, 50 Cent wasn't having it. Apparently, 50 Cent stood his ground with his group G-Unit right across from Suge with a "so what's up?" expression on his face.
Suge stood there for a few minutes surrounded with his Mexican gangmemeber smoking his cigar then just turned around and left without saying a word.
Ok, 50 Cent and G Unit are officially soldiers. The hype is real. Everything was recorded by the camera crew so Suge can't try to spin it like he did shit.
-
what the fuck?suge @ 50´s vid-shoot?
-
I remember that, did the video leak?
-
ok... why is this news?
-

It was a Flashback, cuzz........
Nope haven't seen the final video, but funny considering Game was in the video too, should be around the time where Yukmouth claimed he got slapped twice a week ;D
-
I still don't get why people doubt 50's hood
-
Anyone got the vid of this ?
-
I still don't get why people doubt 50's hood
seriously.. even the enemies from his hood say he got cred.. so what the PROBLEM IS?
-
Wether people like it or not 50s background was real.even in beef 3 domination said 50 was real you can't take it away from him.
-
Yeah, I'm pretty sure he's real.
Domination said, He was the nigga who broke other Nigga's jaw.
It would've been cool to see the video of this.
-

No, it was way earlier than that. Game wasn't on G-Unit yet at this point and wasn't a known figure so even if Suge showed up on the set the same day that Game was filming, he more than likely wouldn't have been there to see Game. Smurf was still down with 50 too so the whole 50-Smurf situation that eventually lead to Game-Yukmouth static was still about six months away. To put it into perspective, the problems with Game and Yuk started at the record release party for Jadakiss' "Kiss Of Death". That didn't get released until June 2004. This video was probably shot around January or February of '03.
I remember hearing about Suge showing up at this set but I thought it was with Boo Y.A.A. Tribe and their people, not a crew of Mexicans. As far as people assuming that 50 would be scared of Suge, I don't see why.

True...
But didn't Em collaborate with the Boo Yaa Tribe at that time?
Let's say Suge did slap Game, then I guess he would know him and who he was, he did try to hook up with the row, before aftermath.
Yeah, think Smurf is in the video as well, saw him in some behind the scene footage

People can hate on G-Units recent music and maybe they are over but you can't question the street credibility of 50 and G-Unit...You can throw in the footage at the awards where dude attacked Dre and see who protected Dre...It was G-Unit and them motherfuckers did not hesitate....That's some real shit... Suge must have felt the realness...lol.
-
Also, dont forget the number of times 50 has jumped in the crowd (pretty crazy if u ask me)
-
MAYB THEY CONFUSED MEXICANS N BOOYA???
WE ALL LOOK ALIKE???
HAHA

I remember that. More dumb shit from Suge. You'd almost feel sorry for him losing Death Row, if it wasn't for instances of him wasting his and other people's time like this. I had really hoped that when he got out of jail, he would have concentrated on making Death Row be about music again. But he tried his same old intimidation tactics, and pretty much ran Death Row just like it was being ran when he was locked up. It seemed like all their energy went into disparaging former artists. Yeah, sometimes it was funny. But it didn't help Crooked I, NINA, Eastwood, Spider-Loc, Danny Boy, J. Valentine, PB, or anyone else drop an album.
-
Damn..Suge walks into a situation like that now and niggas are looking at how they can touch that jaw..lol.

Hard, that videos dope you can see Fif running in with the big hits, then buck just stabs the muthafucker lol. Dre musta felt good having all that back up!
And ya can't forget when they shot Games boy, crazy...

Yeah i reemmber that. 50 was on that dude, punched and hit him with the chair. Lol. 50 hit him more than what Buck did. 50 actually paid Buck lawyer I believed. He mentioned it, i believe.
-
Now I know we have gotten off the subject of Suge and all but in reference to 50 and G-Unit at the awards, you have to wonder of the loyalty that G-Unit showed played a part in Dre's decision to side with 50 instead of Game in that beef.. I know 50 was more profitable at the time but Game and his crew were now where to be found at the awards when shit went down...Dre had to appreciate G-Unit's protection and loyalty. Back to Suge for a second, in a one-on-one, after knowing what we know about Suge's glass jaw and 50's street rep, I might take 50 over Suge despite the weight difference. 8)
-
If suge had the power he had in mid 90s I would take him over 50 the guy was untouchable. But theirs no doubt 50 is real.Where as the game has already been exposed.
-
Yeah, I remember that.
Game said he was backstage or some shit, however in the video, the uploader says game is the guy throwing chairs (and it does actually looks like him....) in the khaki suit.
There was also a rumor that Suge got on stage and said/yelled fuck G-Unit.
But yeah, kind of brave, considering they where on the west coast.
You've seen the other video's?
Of 50 jumping in the crowd at some of his shows (LOL, he takes his chain off, hand it to his man, and jumps down in the crowd to attack, however throwed water at him)
-
remember that there was a audio or video of suge on stage sayin fuck G-unit, LOL @ Suge

Wether people like it or not 50s background was real.even in beef 3 domination said 50 was real you can't take it away from him.
Ofcourse he gonna say that or else his reputation/street cred will be lost

shit u gotta be kidding me, tyrin 2 hit a man, who already is hold up by a security guard (so he cant do nothin) is not really gangster is more like a bitch move
-
Why would domination lose his street cred by saying his enemy has street cred?that makes no sense

Suge Knight is in his mid 40's. That incident was Suge along with a couple of his closest, Ganxsta Ridd and all of his people, and they were Mexicans. It didn't really happen how the reporter put it though
& the awards situation. All of the G-Unit camp & co. went in to attack a smaller amount.... "small" amount of people who were already being dealt with effectivly by the security. Instead of being the bigger men, and letting them handle it, they went in and found an opportunity to solidify the reputation they had created for themselves on record, mixtapes, & petty brush-ins with the law. rather than respect the founders, and people who paved the way - some of which were present there, they chose to cheaply take an opening of dishonourable actions, which although may have made them look "gangster" to the little kiddys on the web on youtube, and upper class wathing the news, but in reality it degraded the integrity of Hip Hop, and was a bit of a "bitch" move to be honest for any real person who actually watched it!

Degraded the integrity of hip-hop? So the person who poses as a fan to sucker punch someone who is getting a "Lifetime Acheivement Award" is whatever but if the crew/entourage steps in on his behalf, THEY are being disrespectful? Get out of here with that shit! We're not talking about some rapper that they didn't like. We are talking about someone who wasn't an artist or to my knowledge, an invited guest. He wasn't a fan. He was someone, who if security was doing their job, would have not made it within thirty feet of Dre before he got the award. The clear intention was to embarass Dre and disrupt the show. For all G-Unit knew, he could have had an even more violent agenda. It doesn't matter how small the amount of people was. If three people come to your man's house and one of them runs up and slaps him, I guarantee half of the party is going to run up on those three dudes and beat the shit out of them. The lesson in all this is you probably shouldn't try to run up and sucker punch someone when they are running deeper than you are. It should be common knowledge here but apparently, it's disrespectful if that person's crew retaliates.

Being from South Jamaica Queens myself I can tell you that 50 story is real. Even his enemies vouch of his realness. Not Ja, but even Supreme, CHaz (American Gangsterm BET) and just knowing about dude in the hood. Even funnier, the guy still goes to the hood here and there and nothing happens to him, despite popular claims. HIs homey got a lot of dude in Jamaica streets shook.
