-
He was dope. Too bad he messed with the drugs.

He had some great deep and emotional songs... too bad that coke fucked up his life

-

Man DMX was a Hip Hop All-Star. Too bad he fucked up everything after he really established himself as an artist.
-
HE STILL DISSIN THE WEST????

DPGC23
-
to me he has no love for the west
-
DMX is still one of my favourite East Coast rappers, i hope he stops fuckin around and makes some new dope music.
He had some great deep and emotional songs... too bad that coke fucked up his life
"Wasn't long before I hit rock bottom
"Howll!" was like damn look how that crack got him" - Slippin

washed up ? nah DMX is still that dude , probally the realest rapper in the biz to tell the truth .... he a legend in hip hop he made his dent in the game already ...
-
I can't listen to a whole ablum full of dog's barking and shit.
I like only his damian schizophrenia. but the prayer part was always wack..
and they (ruffryders) still bitin pac's shit refering to "rie or die"..
-
but did they come up wit that shit first?
and theres is more of a movement/label (back then)

I used to bang the shit out of his first two albums. More recently I thought he dropped a real hard 16 on our Innocent Man remix.

Those lyrics are old though, he was in jail when the remix dropped :D

DMX B.C. was one of the best artists the East has seen in a long time..
DMX A.C. is just a shame..
-
Actually shade he made his first albums high on that shit.I loved his first album, the second was ok but nothing special.I liked albums 3-5 but I thought his last album was wack as fuck.
-
True enough..
but drug inducement as a hobby (B.C.) and as an addition (A.C.) breeds two totally different artists!
-
I know he's washed up now, but what do you West Coast gangsta's think bout DMX in his prime?
Being the West Coast gangsta that I am I think that in his prime he released tight ass singles, but his albums were soso. I never really got into them.
-
yeah i agree witchu Jesus Christ never got into his albums but hes got some dope singles/traxx
but when you tell someone that they gon flip or they gon pull the "thats cuz you gotta westcoast mentality"

'Slippin' gots to be one of the illest tracks he ever done did. One of my personal favorites of all time, just alone as a hip hop joint.
Son is a fuckin' Hip Hop All-Star, word up. Ain't nobody touchin' them first two albums of his.
-

True that, sad song but still great.
-
Agreed its one of the all time great hip hop tracks.Where da hood at?! Always fires me up!
-
yeah not a fan of all his muzik but traxx like "where da hoot at" is dope
damn i jus listened to this song again and swizz has fallin off since

Oh my God, yes my nigga. That is THAT joint.
In the summertime too, shit..
Love that track.
-
I loved grand champ that was a solid album start to finish
-
DMX was that dude. He still dropped some nice songs off his last album (lord give me a sign). Slippin is a brilliant track probs one of the best tracks like that.
HOPEFULLY he can come dope again...
-
Shot down with dmx,50 cent and styles p was a crazy joint too
-

1. I don't give a damn what other people might think my mentality is like. "I'm from Tha A-L-K, bitch!" is all I need to tell em. My taste in music (or just hip hop) is different than most anyway.
2. Learn how to quote.
-
x gon give it to ya
We Right Here
We In Here
who we be
all dopes joints
but jay you think x tries to act like pac at all?
-
Not really I mean I guess a little bit but nothing major he's just himself.Have you heard his diss to PAC?Just some freestyle from way back in the day
-
might have whats it called?
-
Can't recall.I think all he says is "hey yo that nigga 2PAC can suck my dick"
-
Well, there's a version where DMX is sayin' K-Solo instead of Tupac, so i don't think the Pac version is real.
-
DMX as a rapper i dont know he had the vocal's but lyrically wasnt that good
His first album & even the 2nd were great thou, he just fell off after that IMO
-

hail mary was done 1996.
the ruff ryders started at 1998..
so who started first with "rie oder die" ? :)
for me, that's another proof that N.Y.C. stolen many ideas from westcoast..without touching east/west beef again.
-
yeah again ive heard many westcoast heads say "ride or die" but that was many years later
and many years later xzibit makes a song "ride or die"
i see what you sayin tho
but did they come up wit that shit first?
and theres is more of a movement/label (back then)

ok kl, but if he did diss 2pac, it would be after hsi death and that would so lame

refering to troublesome 96 "...niggaz will talkin alot of shit, but thats after I'm gone, cause they fear me in physical form..." by legendary 2pac shakur
-
DMX is hard back then and is still hard right now but he's so fucked up on the drugs that he can't stay focused and productive when it comes to his career. Is he even signed right now? His talent isn't goin nowhere tho...maybe wasted but it'll still be there.
-
DMX BEST SONG = LET ME FLY 8) 8) I will put that song up against any hip hop song
