Raptalk.Net hooked up with 1/3 of Tha Alkaholiks, Tash to discuss a number of things, but mainly his upcoming solo album, "Control Freek."
We first discuss why the album suffered a near two month push back, back in early May, the meaning behind the title, and how Tash is liking his new recording home, Amalgam Digital thus far.
The first single from the album is titled "New Bikini" and is produced by fellow Alkaholik, E-Swift. We talk about that record and how Tash chose to make it the first single, as well as the direct meaning behind the song.
We then get into the other production on the album, and of course note that long time Raptalk.Net artist affiliate J.Beam makes several appearances on the project; a direct Knoc-Turn'Al protege, Beam is no secret to Raptalk.Net, so we get a good reaction out of Tash once he learns this.
We then get into the guest appearances on the project, a very dope line-up that is sure to surprise many. We also discuss the next single, "Bubble Up" which features Knoc-Turn'Al.
We also get into Xzibit, and what that current relationship is like. We then get into Tha Liks and the current status of a new group album.
We then end the interview with a few throwback questions about DPG, "Rap Life" and more!
Enjoy...

The Vapors album will be released on their own DNA label, which stands for either "Dogg Pound 'n' Alkaholiks" or "Drugs 'n' Alcohol," depending on your mood. It also has another meaning for Kurupt. "DNA is the makeup of the body, and we're the makeup of the West Coast," said Kurupt, who appeared on "Promote Violins," a cut from Tha Liks' X.O. Experience (2001).
It was supposed to be released on some label called DNA, maybe another label Daz started or just made up :D

^Ah, that's where I misunderstood

Dogg Pound/Liks album was The Vapirs and DNA was the name of the group. The Kurupt TV DVD had a bonus cd that had cuts from the album that was supposed to drop.

Good interview too (Dubs was good insight too).
Good that he briefly explained why his album was pushed back...
Seriously, J-Ro a fool...he need to hop on a plane and go back to Cali for 2-3 months to knock out a Liks record!!!!
Hmm would still like to see a Alkaholiks/DPG album though...that would be crazy!!! But the material they have is way old now. need to be some fresh stuff. But doubt this will happen.

^for real we need J-Ro back!

Dope interview, you covered a lot of shit that Likwit Crew fans probably had wondered themselves. I had completely forgotten about the DNA connection.
I'm glad that more sites are actually getting ahold of these cats. For the past like, 5 or 6 years, these guys have really been M.I.A.. They would show up once every blue moon (and it was mostly on Dubcnn) to let us know what they're up to, and then they would disappear again. Although I guess that could be attributed to the fact that they haven't released too much material since then.
It's crazy because the Likwit Crew actually used to be really popular at this board too. Nowadays it seems like most people here don't even know who they are.

Well, i'm lookin at the bonus CD right now and they are listed as "Vapirz" not DNA.
