i think i like how they made the game count, it makes it more competetive & you see the All-Star's in their finest form.

Yeah a lot of people criticize it as it is unfair to the team that plays the best for a whole 162 games (which is something I do agree with), but the bottom-line is that it makes the All-Star game a hell of a lot more interesting. NBA All-Star games are fuckin horrible, even when the scores are close. This year's was made slightly more interesting with the whole Kobe/Shaq/Phil Jackson angle, but aside from a few highlights, it was still boring as shit. And everybody already knows the Pro Bowl is a joke, but that's for different reasons.

lmao, i haven't watched the Pro Bowl in years.
i agree that the NBA has it's moments, but the lack of defense & the lack of effort is just painful to watch.
i think a team (in the MLB) that wins 110 games shouldn't lose home field advantage because All-Stars that represent the league their in lose in just one game. but the fact that they actually have to try makes me almost not even give a fuck. an All-Star game should display the best of the best, not the best playing like an average player.

Fuck voting, fans always pick the wrong starters.

fans always pick their own team.
but it only really just affects the bench players, the starters are set based off of popularity anyway, whether fans vote for A-Rod or not; he is going to make the game regardless because the MLB wouldn't allow him not to be in it lol.

pro bowl is a joke, i dont like how this determines the home field advantage.

Who do you think makes it from your team? Hudson deserves to go, then I figure Billingsley and Broxton, and maybe Blake can make a good push if he continues to tear it up.
Honestly, I enjoy voting, but it's mostly bullshit. The fans go crazy with the selections, but at least they don't pick all of the players. Are you guys in favor of having a player from every team? I think it's the right thing because it promotes fan interest, even for the bad teams.

^^ Obviously Bills and Broxton...Hudson deserve to make it. Blake is a beast for us, but idk if he makes it. If Ethier can heat up again, and have a big June, he might make it...and Manny will make it...even tho he SHOULDNT. before the suspension i was voting for him..idk how people could vote for him.
and yeah, i think its cool to have a player from every team...as long as that player is truly an AS caliber player. but every team has someone worthy of going..even if its a RP (non-closer)..

Wright and Zimmerman are locks at 3rd, so Blake's chances don't look that good I guess. Hudson absolutely deserves it, the best free-agent pick-up so far, every team in the league is looking foolish for not going after him. Ethier would have to pick his numbers up to make it, but there's still a lot of time.

im too lazy to vote on and on, but ibanez better fuckin start, fuck that cheater manny, raul putting up sick numbers

i'm voting for O-Dogg! he's the man! 8)
