While everybody is talking about Eminem and his virtuoso, pharmaceutically-conceptual album, Relapse, we wanted to go back in time and take a look behind the scenes of one of Eminem's greatest albums—well, possibly one of the greatest albums ever, period. The Marshall Mathers LP. So, Jonathan Hay and Chad Kiser of Dubcnn quickly caught up with RBX, who was featured on that classic Marshall Mathers LP on the extraordinary song, “Remember Me”—which also featured a phenomenal verse from Sticky Fingaz. “Remember Me” is a definite, hands down, fan favorite all across the world for its amazing lyrical performance by Eminem, RBX and Sticky Fingaz together, and a menacing track produced by Dr. Dre and Mel-Man. We got a couple of questions in with RBX, as he looks back and reminisces on history. If you don't remember, “Remember Me”, in the words of Clinton Sparks…GET FAMILIAR!

As always, hit me up on MySpace (http://www.myspace.com/jonathanhay) and be sure to leave feedback in our forums.

this really isn't a typical interview, just more of RBX speaking about his experince with the Marshall Mathers LP and the DOPE ass song he did on it. While eveybody is talking about Relapse, Chad and I wanted to dig in the crates and talk about the MMLP. 8) The song Remember Me is a classic!!!

why is every song after chronic 2001 is leftover..dont get it ???
According to the Chronic 2001 add,it said featuring RBX and Sticky Fingaz. So it's safe to assume that "Remember Me" got pulled (it's basicilly another "forgot about dre")
cool thanks 4 the info
and
thanks 4 the interview
-
I liked the interview, but anyone else think its fucked, they called him up to talk about Another Artist success and then when they were done with talking about the song. They didn't speak on Concrete Criminals, about any project's he's involved with. I thought it was a little messed up. oh well good interview, nice to see RBX hasn't let his carrier go the way of so many niggas.

We just did a Concrete Criminals interview back in Jan - Here is the link in case you missed it. http://www.dubcnn.com/interviews/concretecriminals/

Yeah Dre recorded around 80-90 songs for 2001. All of the songs on NL Topp Dogg are leftovers that Dre did, Restless for Xzibit, basically in one way or another the majority of them were released on other projects.
-
Odd interview. I would've liked to hear more questions about his work or done a feature of several artists instead of just him. Still dope. Thansk!

WTF Stan?? yeah that is 1 of the better tracks on the album and in hip hop around that time, it was excellent writing, delivery, emotion, the production was eriee and the hook fitted perfectly,
The real slim shady was a cheesy firsty single, it wasnt a classic but it was cool
If its not Crooked I, 2pac or Juice its wack to u ::)

this is not true
i'm a huge fan of Big L, Nas, Kool G Rap, Rakim, Notorious BIG, Big Punisher, Ice Cube, Wu tang clan, REDMAN, DJ Quik, Esham, NWA, Live Squad etc.
i just think that marshall mathers LP was a 6 or 7 out of 10, regardless of how many white pre-teens in Iowa and North Dakota bought it to bump in their parents cars.

The fact that it was popular with young whites shouldnt lessen the quality of an album or track
You think its a 7 whereas the majority of people would have it a 9 maybe even 10 which why it should qualify to be in the running for a top 10 best album ever

don't bother, Paul.
you're not having a conversation with the poster Crack Wilson, but with the crack itself ;)

It an award winning album which sold millions of copies

-
didn't brittany spears win alot of awards too??
i bet she's outsold eminem

You completely missed the point, end of discussion
-
your point was that awards make a music artist better
so therefore we must celebrate anything that MTV and the GRammy's give awards to and ignore underground music because it clearly can't be as good

haha no its not
I said Stan was a great track and it was recognized by winning awards, i never said anything like you just said. You asked who are most people who rate the MMLP. Seriously stop twisting my words. Your not the easiest to have a discussion with lol

Regardless of whether the Eminem album is good or not, you should fix the above situation, you're missing out on one of the most influential (along with Rakim, Big Daddy Kane and a couple of others) and most skillful MCs ever

I probably should but there are alot of artists out there and hip hop isnt the only music i listen to. i will eventually get round to listening or giving these old school guys a chance but to be honest it hasent ever appealled to me, not alot of 80s hip hop has.

Lookin forward to that new interview.

thanks for the interview..kin da weird that the interviewer didn't apologize, when RBX cleared that whole 'Bootsy Collins is his father' mystery??
