But it will be Matt Cain this year who he battles, 7-1 with a 2.27 era :o :o

theres A LOT of great pitching this year..but anything can happen. injuries mainly..cause i dont see the top pitchers falling off like ankiel.

Cain has been amazing this year and he is finally getting some run support. I saw a website that didn't have him on the All-Star Game roster and I closed the tab after seeing that nonsense. Cy Young is early with a lot of contenders (Cain, Santana, Lincecum, Billingsley, Haren, Cueto, Carpenter), but it's good to see Cain do so well.

Uhh look at the stats, they are both pretty even. Santana has a little better era barely but Cain has same amount of wins and 2 less losses.

exactly. And damn what a way to get out of the 2nd inning with 0 runs after giving up a leadoff triple. Amazing how he is just as good if not better from the stretch, thats a strength most pitchers dont have. Giants have NO DOUBT the best 1-2 combo on baseball..Im so happy matts finally getting some run support
