Title: Ghostwriters on the West Coast
Post by: GangstaBoogy on June 06, 2009, 01:41:53 PM
List songs that were ghostwritten by other artist. West Coast artist only. Oh and 2 things... 1. Let's not get into a huge debate about the difference between a writer and a ghostwriter. 2. Let's post some interesting ones, not just "Snoop wrote Deep Cover for Dre".

Bad Azz
Daz Dillinger - I'd Rather Lie 2 Ya
Daz Dillinger - What Cha Talkin Bout

Warren G - I Shot the Sheriff
Warren G - I Want it All

Kurupt
Daz Dillinger - Bitch, Make Me Rich
Daz Dillinger - Just Think About It

The D.O.C.
Dr. Dre - Big Ego's
Dr. Dre - Ho's a Housewife

Snoop Dogg - Boss Life
Snoop Dogg - Imagine
Snoop Dogg - Round Here
Snoop Dogg - That's That Shit

I'll post some of the credits in a minute, i'll edit this post.

EDIT:

13. Doin' Too Much
(Calvin Broadus & Tray Deee). Produced by DJ Quik

18. Just Dippin'
Featuring Dr. Dre & Jewell
(Calvin Broadus, Bad Azz, Kurupt, Hittman). Produced by Dr. Dre for Aftermath Entertainment.

Those are the only songs that was written by someone else other than Snoop and the people who was featured on it.

It's credited as G-One on the Murder Was The Case soundtrack, but that was probably due to label issues. It's down as Quik on Safe + Sound.

Besides...if one your homies came up with a diss that hard, you'd use it too. That shit was career-ending.

Nah, it's on that 'Welcome To Death Row' DVD. Snoop's got an in-depth interview and he's talking about how Daz came up with the idea of talking to the devil and the rest of the concept.
