Sucks as a rapper i havent heard anything that i like from him im down with B.Y.I. He's a great producer but as a rapper he dont cut im sure he's just out to make O Cruz sound good.

Listen to me... The guy can barely rap. His lyrics are weak. He has a preschool flow. Maybe in acouple years he will be a better artist but the guy is a weak artist.....And I like the guy! I hope he wins! I am Mexican! Beans and Rice All day!

I thought the mixtape/demo was dope as hell. the production, i think, is better than anything that has come out of the west coast as of late.
and for real, this site has some of the fakest west coast music fans i've ever seen. if its not dre, snoop or game, all of you turn bitch ass. thats what makes me know that none of you:
a) dont live on the west coast
b) have not been listening to anything else other dre related music
c) got into west coast music recently
d) are punk ass bitches
there's a reason dj skee, cool & dre and dj muggs have co-signed ROME. its not for his star power but for his talent. and to the dude who said he sounds like an amateur, how about you let his flow and style develop? cause you are obviously just checking for his flow like a homo and ignoring his lyrics which is what you supposed "west coast fans" look out for.
or are you just hating cause he's latino?
even the dude who started this post retracted his statement. he obviously made that statement after listening to one song then when he heard the whole thing, retracted it.

1. I am Mexican just like Rome. (Non Self hating)
2. I listen to alot of music. I liked O Cruz.
3. I been listening to west coast music my whole life. I live in Los Angeles.
4. Dj Muggs/DJ Skee/Cool & Dre could put a stamp on Hot dollar still doesn't make him dope.
When I listen to Rome as a Mexican American male in the same age bracket as him I should not be put to sleep by his flow and lyrics.
Acouple of ways to get better!
1. Start smoking to change your voice.
2. Practice rapping for hours a day.
3. Read as many books on history and drama as possible. You need to have an active brain to have an active pen!.

I really like dudes production but man when he spits i just brace myself and cringe inside. very amateur-ish. not knocking dude but stick to making beats first and work on your rhymes, who knows he could the west coast mexican kanye down the road...ya dig.

I have worked in the industry for acouple of years. I have worked with alot of the new west rappers. But nah I dont rap I dont like it. Its not fun to me. I would much rather listen. All I can do is pass on what I have learned from being in the studio and hanging around a bunch of rappers. There is a trend in rappers. They all can read and write very well. They all have a good basic knowledge of history and love to read.
Me telling Rome to read books its like telling a painter to learn how to mix colors.

I'm from the UK, and I like ROME. Given he not the most gifted lyricist, but as a producer he's good, and I enjoy some of his "music". Hopefully time will just improve his rap ability :)

Like it or not Rome brings something new to the game. Its getting boring out here in the westcoast rapping about the same low riders, guns, red and blue, dre, i'll kill you etc, etc.... If Rome isnt your type of rap just move on, you cant like everybody. one thing is true, he making noise rite now

Im really feeling his tape...Rome isnt the best on the mic but the production makes up for that...
I'd like to hear Lil Rob over some Rome beats...or any other chicano rappers for that matter...
