Ariza in bounds to Kobe.
Kobe back to Ariza.
Ariza ahead to Fisher
Fisher for 3 - BANG!
Does that remind anyone of the famous Bulls play where Jordan was basically a decoy?
Jordan to Pippen
Pippen to Horace Grant.
Grant to Paxson in the corner - SWISH!
Someone find a youtube of both plays.

Different game situations so it allowed the Bulls to have a better threat with the 2 and work the ball more, but the general idea is similar. Having a game-changing player on the court draws the defense, so if you trust your shooters, they will get a chance.

By the way, that inbounds play tonight wouldn't have got any attention if they missed, but it shows how big the coaching advantage is in this series. They had a set plan and got the ball up the court so smoothly, where Orlando really struggles to even get the ball in and can't get a good look. The one smart play they drew up was the alley-oop to Lee at the end of Game 2.

The way i see it Nelson fucked it up. Instead of letting Fisher have an easy drive to the basket and score 2 point he defended the basket from the penetration. Incredible low basketball IQ.
Edit: i just watched Van Gundy's interview, and he agrees with me.

Nelson fucked up, but he did have a hand up and that was no easy shot. Against a good shooter though, you need to be up more, especially in that situation, and not let them size up the basket at all. His contest was late because he was too far off, and I don't know why Lee, Alston, or Redick weren't on the court at that time. Any one of those guys is a quick enough defender to stay with Fisher, and have more length to bother shooters.

Nelson is a dumb nigga but I can't blame him. He shouldn't have been in those games to begin with. SVG is lucky is brother is in the commentator booth. If it wasn't for that neat little fact, whoever sits there would have exposed some of his retarded decisions to the world.
